Have you ever stepped on an ant? You have. Could you technically avoid ever stepping on ants? You could if you put a lot of effort into it. So why do you randomly kill those insignificant little creatures of which there will be infinitely many left after you've killed a few? And what about those ants that get poisoned because they wander into a home (i.e. breaking a rule they could not have been aware of)? How is that fair to ants?

I imagine that's how God sees us, except He did give us a rule book to live by.

I believe I answered your question when I posted this in another thread:

"Free will is the gift of God and He gave it to you so that you would do everything He says without question."

You see, God knew exactly what He was doing when He created us, just as you state in your post. The attention He "hogs," as you put it, is the attention He DESERVES for creating us, putting us in a place where sin was possible but not inevitable, then punishing us, then putting in place His plan to save us (which was the plan all along). When I was about 7, my mother took me to her friend's home across town. They had a huge dog that stood as tall as I was at the time. I didn't know - but mother did - that this dog was harmless but loved to run at you barking as if he was going to rip your head from your throat and devour it in one bite.

She allowed me to encounter this animal and yet she had a plan to rescue me despite my fear and the fact that when I was 7 I could outrun a cheetah. I learned not to fear things that were bigger than I from that experience but also that I had to use common sense. If it doesn't fit, you must acquit.

God put us here knowing that that huge dog, the old serpent the devil, would run at us barking and trying to rip our souls apart. All along, He knew Christ was on the way to put a muzzle on satan. It took a few hundred years and lots of blood and gore to get Jesus down here, but now satan knows he is defeated. That's why he's making you wonder about something that in reality is so easy to understand. Just stop being so logical, and it will become clearer to you that God's plan cannot be picked apart and analyzed away - it is what it is, PRAISE HIM.
