First: thank you for treating me like a jewel on your cushion of hospitality.

Second: I'm dealing with the Mormons but I'm not absolutely sure to convert, yet. In former times I was Evangelisch-Lutherisch / Lutheran-Protestant, but I left the church more than thirty years ago.

Third: Sorry I haven't got any favorite Bible verse, except "let there be light" from Genesis when an electrician from the energy supply company once cut my currance because of outstanding invoice amounts.

In critical times you might become a believer very quickly.

At least: How I came to Jesus? I'm not sure. In some secret way I guess he came to me.

What can I tell more? I live in Hamburg, born here, gonna stay here, etc. ... the most beautiful city in Germany with the best climate and fresh air from the seaside. I'm in pension. I like religious forums and I'm here because one has recommended me to have a view to this site.

If you would like to know more boring things about me don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome to our friendly forums! I'm not sure why you'd want to convert to Mormonism, though. They have a foolish origin story (magic spectacles?), and silly beliefs (magic underwear?). You should focus your attention on the facts, as revealed in the Holy Bible.

Well, ... actually... not really, Sir... I mean, not really. Would it be wrong not to be a fan of him...? If I admitted to be fan of him, you might believe it's true but it could be a lie, and if I denied to be a fan of him, it might be a lie or it could be true. I decide in favor of the truth, Sir, always in favor of the truth, I'm not losing my religion.

To be honest: I'm more a fan of Pamela Anderson. She's really spot on.

Finnish roots? Really? An attractive young neighbor here once came from Finland, too. At least she was grown up there in Finland. Once I asked her to say s.th. in Finnish, and I couldn't understand a single word. Finnish is one of those languages no one can understand except the Finnish themselves.

... They all look the same? Because God the Allmighty could not create any better ones, that's why they all look the same or so similar. Ever thought about this fact?

I would highly recommend that you look up "South Park vs Mormonism". While I normally would never suggest watching a completely Godless show of South Park I think that the show's portrayal of Mormons is spot-on

I would highly recommend that you look up "South Park vs Mormonism". While I normally would never suggest watching a completely Godless show of South Park I think that the show's portrayal of Mormons is spot-on

Thanks for the certainly well meant advise. Maybe the show's portrayal of Mormons is spot on, but does it also correspond to the truth...? As I'm looking for the truth I wouldn't like mockery or mocking about the Mormons. Perhaps I'm already too far in it since I've been studying their doctrine for years. It's solely thanks to them for bringing one like me back to faith.

Excusez, madame, une faute impardonnable! I say sorry for my mistake. It was just ... your name ... and it sounds masculin in my German donkey-like understanding.

Frogtongue? You should read or listen to my native language first, that's German, and French would seem to you sweet and elegant like the heavenly sound of the angels' harps. Yes, and this forum uses the God's own chosen language - American. That's why I'm trying to learn American and study the Book of Mormon in the American original.

A Mormon missionary from Utah once was so generous to give me his one as a present when he left. Of course I have a German print, too. To be honest, I own the complete scriptures.

And I've learned from the American missionaries that there are four main groups of American dialects: East, West, South, and Utah. A missionary from California once told me that. This was giving me an answer why I could never understand the Utah-missionary when he was talking to his companion from Idaho, and when I got afraid s.th. was wrong with my ears.
