    Hello Everyone

Hi, I am new to these forums and would just like to say hello to everyone else here. I attend first baptist church of Wichita. Some of my favorite bible passages include Matthew 22:38-40, John 3:16, and John 17:21. I came to find Jesus when I was younger. It was through an immersion experience with the poor and through volunteering and attending church everyday.

    Welcome then, Ken.

This immersion experience you speak of; did you actually associate with those poor people? Were there insects and rat droppings?

Haha, heavens no. These were simply the less fortunate of the city. My group and I helped at a soup kitchen, homeless shelter, rode public transport all day, and had a simple meal for dinner. Of course as you know, we based this around the principle of seeing Jesus in all people. When we help the less fortunate, we help him. Matthew 25:34-40

Also, why would you assume that these poor we are suppose to help would be living with insects and rat droppings?

Blessing in the name of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, Ken.

It's good to see you doing good works. That must be a sign that your faith is strong in that you display good fruits.

I am glad to see one of Jesus' possible predestined preordained servants here with us.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Well, thank you Mr. Jones. I'm sure you would be glad to know I volunteer at least 7 hours a week at our local charity and simply love the great joy that helping others come closer to the peace of Christ brings to me.

I do have one question: why is there a picture of what appears to be members of the terrorist organization the KKK (Ku Klux Klan) chasing an African American on your site?

Friend, nothing could be further from the truth. We believe that everyone, everyone should have a shot at redemption and salvation, even the lesser races.

It's the Holy Ghost chasing away sin, so the individual can become "white as snow" (Isaiah 1:18).

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "lesser races." I'm fairly sure the bible makes it clear what we should believe regarding this. James 2:9. John 7:24. Romans 10:12. 1 John 2:9. Galatians 3:28. John 13:34. Romans 2:11. Luke 10:25-37.

Yeah, that would explain all the negro Disciples.

All of the quotes you selected are either Jesus speaking to His Disciples, to other Christians, or letters from Paul to Christians. I'm beginning to see a pattern...

Are you familiar with the Curse of Ham? The Lord abhors miscegenation among His flock.

There are no differences in skin color in heaven to God. Even the sons of Ham can get to heaven. They just have a steeper hill to climb because of their cursed nature.

And as Brother Zech has already pointed out, you are taking so many of those scriptures out of CONTEXT!

I would start with this sermon that addresses your concerns about who is a brother and a sister according to the Holy Bible.

Bible Answers: Who are our neighbors? Who are our brothers and sisters? Who are we to love?

I'll give you a minute to read it.

                              Re: Hello Everyone

Excuse me for finding you racist, good people. However, I do question some of the claims you are making with the Old Testament. Of course, the Old Testament is just as a part of the Bible as any other, however Jesus is the fulfillment of these older books. He is giving us new orders and making the new and everlasting covenant with us. Such as in John 13:34. He proves he is changing the traditional ways. John 8:1-11. He is asking us to realize our own faults and not go around condemning others. To remove the log in our eye before the splinter in our neighbor's.

It seems to me that you all are attempting to live by the old laws on the Old Testament. You are attempting to use what Jews call the Torah to justify and base your actions. Perhaps Judaism would be a better alternative for you because Christianity is certainly not about who does and doesn't go to heaven. It's about uniting with one another in this world of hardships and maybe, just maybe, getting along for once.

And Mr. Ezekiel, I do not believe that a simple grammar error constitutes me lying, so not I am not.
