I wouldn't be sure whether it's the same that Jerome Jefferson the Last is trying to postulate here. Regarding your point: Maybe there are some millionaires in Africa: all the chiefs and kings with millions of glass beads and marbles in their bank deposit boxes.

PS ... I have searched for a southern dialect version of Dixie's Land. Once I memorized the first strophes, because I liked the song and it helps you forward in learning English. I found the following text quite a bit original, because it implicates some Southern expressions:

And they speak the "a" in "away" nearly like an open "o" - quite differently than in the ordinary American pronunciation. I think this is God's most authentic own language, more than the rest of the country speaks? Therefore, Mr. Jerome Jefferson the Last, you speak God's own language in a most perfect way; really enviable you are!
