A strange youth member antagonises you!

Hey,my name is Francisco, I am 17 years old. I am an athesist. Now hold up, I am not here to bash your religion. I am here to openly discuss and cooperate with general topics. I have the benefit of youth and I can think as both a Christian and an atheist. How is this possible? I was very close to religion until certain events at my learning process proved me to go the other way. But the principles and morals never go away. I can see that atheists are misunderstood quite a lot around here and I would like to answer any questions that you people may have and if its not offensive for you, maybe you could answer me a couple of mine so that our understanding of each other increases. My real goal here is to encourage you people to get along with atheists because our objective as people of standards is not to hate each other. Now, I wont sugarcoat atheists, there are crazy atheists out there. If you find an atheist that is a meanie, its not much of his religion but more because of his persona. I had seen that people freak out too much about certain topics and I want to help you guys to see why some stuff is not a big deal. I will start to say that more than atheists not believing in God, we also dont believe in Satan.

I think it's pretty low down coming to God's favourite forum and trying to tempt people away from Jesus' warm masculine embrace with your You Tubes videos and the like.

You should be ashamed of yourself, young lady. That's my opinion.

I dont think I have anything to be ashamed of? I was just putting the source of my thoughts because I thought that you guys would be curious on knowing more about me since this is an introduction. And its not You tubes videos its Youtube videos. Did I put my gender wrong? I am a dude. An introduction means you introduce your SELF to us, dear. Who are you? What church failed you? How hard does your mother cry herself to sleep knowing her child will be lost to the Flames of the Damned forever? Why do you hate Jesus so much that you spend long hours late into the night looking for innocent church communities to bombard with your hate-speech?

I dont recall hating at all... Its been long since I have been to church because if I wanted to read the bible I would do it myself (I did). I have told everyone but my mother and I wont ever tell her because she is into religion and its more of a personal thing. I dont like to make my mom cry as much as the next guy. Not believing you is not the same as hating you (in this case, Jesus). Just like if you told me that the sky is blue yet I didnt believed you, assuming that you are right, I would not be hating the blue sky, I would just not be believing in it. I respect you people, and you keep saying that I am hating out of nowhere... and about night time, this is the part of the day when I write the best.

Alright, I knew I would mess up eventually and I knew what I would mess up with, atheism is NOT a religion but the lack of it, my mistake. In this life, everything and anything can happen, that is for sure. I know that soda is bad for me and I drink a can once a week and it has nothing to do with who I am, time is a undefined value in any sort of graph you make. My parents respect my decissions,disregard my mom because she would respect it but not like it. I think for myself and my parents respect that and I love them for that and much more. Yes, many atheists are modest too, and its more like people who are not modest the ones that are wrong more than atheists only. How much do you know about your grandchildren? I had never heard of a disappointed grandmother. But that is not my business after all...

So you believe miracles can happen?

Of course, as a Christian I have a certainty about what can and can't happen. For example, I know the sick can be healed and the dead raised (Mat 10:8), and I know it's impossible to be tempted above what I can bear (1 Cor 10:13). I know that the world will soon end in fire (2 Pet 3:10).

How do you atheists live with all the uncertainty?

Also, overgeneralizing on atheists is not very nice from you. We atheist since we have no "Celestial" figure and still want to do good, we figure out how to do it ourselves. Kind of like you start living alone and you dont have your mom there anymore to wash your clothes and you have to learn to do it yourself because you want clean clothes. I have a beautyful family and all the resources someone at my age could hope for. I wish I could say the same about my generation... I had seen extreme poorness on my homeland on Mexico, poorness for loyal followers of God. My goal as a person is to grow up and help my people and then every other people. I mean no harm to anybody and still I still hear about hate on these forums. If Jesus really exists, I dont think he would agree with most of you guys. He is a man of love and compassion.

I love your post. Just what I wanted, truth is, we DONT know. The word science means to know, since we dont know, we want to know, we want science. Now with the miracles. all disease has a cure. That is for sure. so all diseases can be cured, why we havent done that is either the medicinal companies hide the cures due to the money they make out of all the ill.(I dislike capitalism for that) Now as for reviving the dead, its not likely that we will find out about that any time soon but it will happen eventually because we first need to know how a body gains life in the first place and that is a very hidden mistery for life, not to mention that we would have a lot of overpopulation and Earth could not feed them or sustain them all and we would all die at the same time for starvation. I wont bash on saying that miracles are nonexistent in this world, I will tell you that they are slow paced proportional to experimental discoveries which happen to be made by most scientists. Now dont take science itself as a direct link to evolution if that makes you unconfortable. Think of it as the building blocks of living things and your sourrounding, when we speak science, we take God's paperworks if you want to put it that way.

If Jesus really exists, I dont think he would agree with most of you guys. He is a man of love and compassion.

What would you, as an atheist, know about what Jesus thinks, who He is? Yes, Jesus loves His Father and His people, His church. But He does not love all, is not compassionate to all. Jesus said of Himself:

17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

Oh but arent we all sons of God? Would you hate on your son for ANY reason in the world? (I did read the bible) That is exactly why some atheists I know became atheists. They refused to believe in a God that would cause pain and suffering to MANY of his children when he is all mighty to avoid doing so. Some of them see him as a hypocritical for doing such thing and then talking to us about morals. I just dont care about his reasons as for me he is just a character in a book with a giant fanbase. Now, can someone help me understand why does reading harry potter could get me into hell?Remember, as an atheist, I come to these forums not to put my atheist ways but to put my thoughts as a human being. Think of atheism as a light bulb, you guys say the light bulb is on and we say its off, when lights are off the bible is just another book to us with great character development and a arguably fallacious chronological order.
