Friends,
I greet you humbly, on bended knee. Actually both knees are bended. Or bent. The most important thing is that I approach the forums in a submissive way with the sincere hope that I will receive a warm, Godly welcome back. Yes, I have before trod this pathway.
A former Catholic, saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus, I now serve our Savior as a Baptist and prayer warrior. The Lord speaks to me through His Word and tells me how important He thinks I am. It amazes me that He has time for even the lowliest of His Creation. Praise His Gloriosity.
At times, my zeal for wanting to serve Jesus within the realm of God's Favorite Church caused me to overstep my welcome and the boundaries that a proper young man should never cross. However, several months of searching my soul and wearing out the knees of my good chinos as I prayed for forgiveness and the covering of Christ's blood has created a new man. A man humbled, for sure - but yet unafraid to speak the truth of the amazing gospel of Salvation(R). It is with that spirit and attitude that I greet you all once again and beg for acceptance.
I remain an unmarried fellow, prayerful that someday I shall find the person God predestined to carry my seed until it sprouts forth as a soldier for Christ. If you are aware of suitable prospects, I welcome the referral. I have already gone too long without adding to God's Army of Christian Warriors.
I leave you with my favorite Bible verse:
Jeremiah 13:2
So I got a girdle, according to the word of the Lord, and put it on my loines.
When my loins are properly girdled, I am able to face the day knowing that the Lord walks with me. His girdle is not an uncomfortable one made of lycra or spandex. When first I started serving the Lord, I admit to thinking I should wear an actual girdle and purchased one from Target. It squeezed my manly area so much that I could have easily sung the high parts of Handel's Messiah without a problem. Then one day at the gym a Christian fellow asked me why I wore a girdle when I am physically fit. He explained that the girdle of the Lord is not an actual garment but a spiritual one, one that holds our faith at the ready. I threw that nasty uncomfortable thing in the trash and sang praises to Jesus right there in the locker room. Bless the Lord, Oh my soul!
May the Lord lay it on your hearts to permit me to worship with you and share His love in these forums. If the tithing address remains the same, you shall receive mine in 3-5 business days.
Come Lord Jesus,
BrotherLarry
