Hello Friends! I am new

Hello! My name is Pearl, and I share this account with my husband, Franklin! I am so happy to have joined! (I LOVE that avatar. LOL!) Franklin is 72 and I am not quite as far over the hill! LOL. I am only 66. We have been worshiping our Lord and Savior for many years!

We live in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and it is truly GOD's land! Franklin and I attend the First Baptist Church, right here in Mountain Grove. We have the loveliest of staff, so friendly and knowledgeable! Our Pastor is Rev. Gene Edwards, who knows the word of GOD inside and out! We are very, very blessed to be able to attend this church!

I was raised in a very loving, religious family, so naturally, I found my savior right away! Franklin was not as lucky, as his family did not teach him the values and salvation that can only be taught through our Lord. We went to school together, and were quite taken by each other! After returning from Vietnam, Franklin and I were married, and I was easily able to open his eyes to the words of the Almighty. We have been happily Saved ever since.

My favorite Bible verse is Titus 2:5, "discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." As that is what I strive to be for my Husband and my Father, as all women should!!

Franklin says his favorite is Ephesians 5:22. He came up with that awful fast! LOL!

I am sorry if I have forgotten anything to include in this! Don't get old, you start to forget!!!!


I look forward to meeting and discussing with so many TRUE Christians! I was so relieved to have found this little gem of a website!!!

A tentative welcome to our friendly Forum. It's so refreshing to see people of advanced age as newcomers here. With only a few years left, you must be aching to meet Jesus in Heaven. Let us hope your obedience, faith and repentance are adequate and we'll meet again behind the pearly gates, too! And soon. I'm expecting either Rapture or death any day now!

You must have quite a large number of offspring? Care to tell us more about them and about your daily prayer duties and your work for JESUS!?

Goodness, I hate to think that we only have a few years left. LOL. I suppose I am just a more glass-half-full kind of lady! Although I know Franklin and I will live forever through GOD!

I have a wonderful, large family! I have 4 daughters, Anita, Jackie, Darlene, and Deb. 1 son, Frank Jr. 4 granddaughters, Haylee, Anna, Jenna, and Sara. Two grandsons, Brandon and Ben. And 8 grandbabies with 1 on the way!!!

I will see if I can put up a picture collage my daughter made. Hope this works!!!

Franklin and I are somewhat private with our Prayers and discussing them, as we are firm believers that our LORD wanted it this way. Matthew 6:6.

I have been a faithful servant my whole life, so everything I have done has been work for HIM! As I mentioned before, Franklin was not as lucky, as it took him years before he even began to attend school, let alone learn of our Creator. But since then, Franklin has always enjoyed going to Church to learn all that he can! We laugh when we hear about families that would rather watch FOotball instead! LOL.

I am sure that the ALmighty led Franklin and I here without a doubt! I went to www.Bing.com to look into some hoaxes that the Liberal media has been trying to pull, as mentioned by my daughter Anita. And this was one of the results, LOL. Definitely sent from HEAVEN!!!!

Hello Franklin (and Pearl) and welcome to the friendliest forums on the internets! How lovely to see an elderly married couple posting as one. I do hope that Franklin will take his turn at the keyboard.

I am embarrassed to admit that I had never heard of Mountain Grove. But I have looked it up and see that it is officially a City, even though it has only about three-quarters of the population of my own "home town", which is considered to be a village. I guess the impressive number of meth labs per capita makes Mountain Grove an important employer and gives it a certain status, locally?

I am sorry that you have only one son - and more granddaughters than grandsons, too. One has to wonder why. But I always like to look on the bright side - we cannot all be blessed with many sons. If we were, who would our sons marry? So there must be a place somewhere for those who bear True Christian(TM) daughters.

Franklin did make one comment, he told me. But he is not as good with the computers as he would like to be. We will pray that he improves, I know he would like to be more social.

Mountain Grove is a very small town, yes. But we enjoy it. It is easier to know who is a true Christian, and who needs to repent. I do remember hearing about the meth laboratories last year. Unfortunately, Franklin forbids me to read or watch News without him, in case it is a Liberal Media trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I do love him so.

LOL. I wish we had more sons, as well. But it is all part of His plan.

yes Welcome to the Godliest website on the Interwebs. I just hope that you have been learning God's word from The Kings James Version as all others have been altered by mere humans, especially catholics and mormons.
You show your knowledge of the Bible when you say you 2 like to keep your prayers private, Matthew 6:5-7 could not make it much clearer.
You mention many daughters could you tell me if you have any virginal daughters or any widowed by death? To be honest with you I am in negotation with a Fellow in England, trying to iron out a marriage contract for myself and one of his 3 daughters but he is playing hardball on some of the terms. I really like old people, except when they smell bad. I doubt from looking at your picture that you smell bad. Well, maybe Franklin since he has a few years on you. Anyway, it's a pleasure to welcome you to the friendliest forums that the Lord ever created - and He did create these!

I read once about a couple named Pearl and Franklin. It was in a very old newspaper. They were involved in a huge prostitution ring and according to the article, they moved to a small town near the Ozarks and haven't been heard from again. I would imagine the statue of liberations has already passed on that but isn't it funny that you and Franklin have another couple named the same .

I hope you are enjoying yourselves here and that God continues to bless you as you fellowship with us in the forum.

Daisy Mae Johnson, I will have to ask Pearl about her recipes. She is very protective of them. As most women are. The Father did not instruct women to serve man in the kitchen, just to find Herbert down the street is eating the same pie.

Mr. Davis, as far as I am concerned, The King James version is the only version. Satan made sure to help the sheep alter the others. As far as my children, and theirs, all are married. I do apologize. If I can assist in any way with you acquiring one of the women, please do let me know.

Brother Larry, let me assure you both Pearl and myself smell fine. After all, we are people of GOD. Romans 12:1. If I am to live up to being acceptable to the LORD, I have always thought it would include proper hygiene. We are not that couple from the Ozarks. We have never been to the Ozarks. Even though Mountain Grove is only about an hour's drive.

If I may. I have a question that is somewhat indiscreet but it is really bothering me. Perhaps you could be of assistance as a man approaching his final encounters with all material things, you know, you are old and withering etc.

At what age is it appropriate for a man to cease performing marital duties? I am really really tired of them and really hoping that there'd be some light at the far end of that tunnel of horrors. I will keep your answer in utmost confidence. But I really need to know.
