Greetings faithful!

I am ashamed to admit that I only recently discovered the Landover Baptist community! But what a find for a young man looking for positive reinforcement in his life as he wrestles with the well-muscled demons of homosexual urges. Honestly, I feel a little bit less gay just for posting in here.

I am a recent transplant to Charleston, South Carolina, where I attend the Baptist Church of the Sacred Flaming Heart. I figure that moving down South probably helps to make me less of a homer, too.

My favorite Bible passage is undoubtedly Isaiah 45:7:

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

When you're feeling awful because everything seems to be going wrong in life, I think it helps to remember every ounce of human misery is an essential part of the Good Lord's plan for a better world! Praise Jesus!

I am glad you found these lovely, godly forums! There are many amazing men here! Since you are struggling with homosexuality, go to the Straight 4 Jesus Forums, that will help you. Remember Leviticus 18:22, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination." Also, some of our members are straight now, praise the Lord!

Anyway, be polite, be respectful, for anyone with more points are your betters. Including Forum Members, and especially True Christians! Those TCs, are guaranteed Salvation, while people like me (Forum Members) are on our way.

For full disclosure, I have also answered to a number of other names in the past, most notably "Classy," and "Big Red," but I am trying to leave behind all of those "street names" as part of my program of reformation and spiritual rehabilitation.

Miss Stark, May I remind you that all of our members are straight! We do have some ex-gay members, but no one who is currently gay.

Oops, my mistake! I meant we had some members who used to be homosexual, but left that disgusting sin behind, stating that most of us were perfectly straight our entire lives, but there were some wayward sheep that returned to the Lord's flock, praise the Lord!

You seem to be very nice and polite. I would suggest adding more Scripture to your posts, for "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2 Timothy 3:16. It adds more credibility, since you are following all of the Bible to the letter, and you know it well! Remember to just use the KJV 1611 Bible, for it is the ONLY true Bible.

The Lord leads many men that formerly had unnatural affection to our doorstep, since He knows that this is the perfect place to continue the life-changing work the Lord has already begun within you.

I trust that you have been studying His Word daily. This is so important for the children of God, since every syllable in the Holy Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit and teaches us how to live in a manner that pleases our Heavenly Father. Remember, Peter, to remain firm and upright as you seek to satisfy the Lord. Just as Peter in the Bible was the Rock, you, too must be hard as a rock in your resolve to submit to the Savior so that He may lead you in the pathways he has planned. Oh, Hallelujah!
