Re: Don't Invite Some Poor Person to Christmas Dinner

Home deliveries to the homeless. Well, as Marie Antionette might say..that takes the cake.
58 If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59 Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61 Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bringk upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

Re: Don't Invite Some Poor Person to Christmas Dinner

We have enough people around the table already without adding to the chaos with random tramps. But around New Year, I always get one of the drivers to take the last of our Christmas leftovers down to the local pentecostalist shack. Those people will eat anything when they're hallucinating.

While we celebrate the birth of Baby Jesus, we at the same time have to fight off Satan's schemes to harm our Christian country. This includes the pan handlers on corners and Salsatan Army Bell Ringers in the malls. At every turn are freeloaders asking for money or a free meal. Let's remind each other the best thing we can do for the poor is motivate them to work harder and save more. Along with President Trump, each of us can deny the free loader and help to Make America Great Again.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Well said, Sister Joanna. There is a promo running on TV here for a rerun of "The Christmas Story." Every year it is the same schtick, "Watch this and learn the true meaning of Christmas." The true meaning of Christmas is take care of yourself. Don't let some hapless wench invade your house.

Let's review the birth of Baby Jesus. There wasn't room at a nice inn for Mary and Joseph. So, some animals were moved elsewhere. Then, who shows up? Three wealthy men with payments. Since Baby Jesus was just born, Mary and Joseph took possession of the valuables. They took care of themselves and that is a lesson for today as well.

Dear Sister Joanna: I could not agree with you more. I simply could not agree more! Why, after all of the fuss about shopping, baking, cooking the turkey and side dishes, who on Earth wants to hear the doorbell ring, only to find some poor person is on the porch looking for the handout of a free meal? Besides that, I have more than enough coming for dinner tomorrow, what with my sister (Agatha) and her nephews, and friends (Sisters Hortense, Victoria-Mae, Mary-Louella and Penelope) from the McGill Street Ladies' Wednesday Afternoon Bible Study, Prayer Meeting and Tea & Social.

And, I just know that will agree! Why, He even said as much about how there are too many poor people to begin with. They're always scrounging whatever they can get their hands on. I mean, there will never be enough food to feed all of those lazy slackers!

Matthew 26:11 "For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

Now, that lovely verse from the blessed has two very important parts to it. The second part is the more important part, so we might as well just ignore the first part. And, for Heaven's sake, does anybody really think that Isabella White is interested in having poverty-stricken gate-crashers rubbing their elbows on my fine dining table, colliding with my antique china? I think not!
