Excellent question, Sister. The sheer dreariness of the place suggests that only the most dismal and disheartened people would ever venture there.

You know, a few years back I was interested in that cold rock. I thought maybe it was isolated from sin and Landover Baptist could work there. Then they elected a lesbian Prime Minister, Johanna Sigurdottir. God smote that miserable place years ago.Originally posted by Mary Etheldreda View PostDoes anyone NOT hate Iceland? Re: God Hates Iceland!
I learned something new about Iceland today from the Internets. Apparently, the Icelanders still cling to their old superstitions (I assume because nobody can believe Lutheranism isn't Catholicism Lite)
This is frankly ridiculous. It makes you wonder what other invented garbage they believe:

Re: God Hates Iceland!
Such a bizarre story, Pastor Bathfire, as are all stories which originate in the frozen wastelands. This is particularly interesting:
Do the Icelandish really think it's a good idea to combine bold young puffins and fluffy baby eider ducks, perhaps making their first tentative flights, with a windmill? We have wind farms offshore in Britain, and in gale force winds my boys often take the children of uninvited guests out in the boat, to see what happens when a flock of seagulls meets a working turbine. It's carnage, obviously, and if they get too close they come home showered with feathers and gore. But the experience provides a useful introduction to the concept of Hell. The island is an important nesting site for puffins and eider ducks, [Edit Both worshiped as gods in Iceland] and is also home to Iceland's only windmill - a protected monument that dates back to the 1860s, that was in operation until 1917.
Sadly not, Sister. The Bringlish Broadcasting Cooperative divides its news as follows:Originally posted by Basilissa View PostDo I assume correctly, that BBC divides all news in two broad categories:

2. World - everywhere else the English have heard of, but mostly the U.S.
3. Elsewhere - places you couldn't find on a map, even if you had the misfortune to live there.

Pastor Bathfire, thank you for bringing these news to our attention. I did click on the first link, and I noticed that the full title is:

Re: God Hates Iceland!
It has been some time since this thread was updated to show God’s continuing hatred of Iceland, but It is now my duty to report a couple of matters that could so easily have been avoided, had the Icelanders accepted Jesus.
Both are from the British Broadcorping Castration but have been confirmed by our Secret Missionaries on the island.
The first:
The report is accurate as I did enquire on behalf of Landover about a Helicopter pad, servicing facilities, gun ranges, the open season on seal cubs, the local price of whale meat, an assurance that there is no “Penis Museum” on the island, and the number of pagans and other degenerates on the island as the latter will need transportation to a Christian Rehabilitation Camp.

A town in Iceland wants the state to step in and stop a local island from becoming private property.
Ísafjarðarbær* council has asked the environment and natural resources ministry to buy Vigur island* in the country's scenic Western Fjords,in a bid to ensure that the nature-lovers can still visit.
The council is worried that a private buyer will not allow public access to "this natural treasure in Ísafjarðardjúp fjord", as it wrote in its formal application to the ministry.
Vigur's 45 hectares (111 acres) have been for sale since last spring, and Davíð Ólafsson of the Borg** estate agency said that interest is running high -he received 30 enquiries about it last month alone - all from abroad.
Most potential buyers live in the United States, and "many want to know about helicopter access to the island", he said.US enquiries
*You may rest assured that these names will be changed to something sensible and pronounceable – the name “Flint” and "Flint Island” are currently the front runners.
** Is this related to "Star Wars"? We should be told!
Iceland’s fear before the wrath of The Lord can be seen in these remarks:
The fact that these Islanders have to float about in a 200 year-old boat is more proof that God is denying them the better things in life because of their idolatry! When Landover buys the island, the first thing we’ll do is to burn the thing and have the resident buy a modern one.The island is an important nesting site for puffins and eider ducks, [Edit Both worshiped as gods in Iceland] and is also home to Iceland's only windmill - a protected monument that dates back to the 1860s, that was in operation until 1917.
Iceland's smallest post office is to be found on Vigur, as is its oldest boat.
Built in 1800, the boat was used to transport sheep to the mainland until 19 years ago, and is still in good condition.
The second report brings to mind the futility of attempting to defy God and to bear false witness:
See that! "I'll post a comment a day, until I get through to them"!Iceland mayors object to Google snow
Summer in Bolungarvík

Winter in Bolungarvík

Two mayors in Iceland are campaigning to have Google Maps change its satellite image of their towns, which are shown as covered in snow.
Jón Páll Hreinsson says this could put overseas tourists off visiting Bolungarvík in the picturesque Western Fjords region, whose islands and fishing villages are already a popular summer destination for Icelanders.
"This snowbound image gets on my nerves," he told the Vísir news site, explaining why he sends the Google Maps site daily feedback about it - "I'll post a comment a day, until I get through to them".
He can’t get through because snow has brought down the wires!
This unpronounceable mayor is wanting the good, God-fearing Americans at Google to lie so he can fill his personal coffers!
Disgusting! Corrupt!The Work of Satan!
Iceland and its people need Landover to save their immortal souls and to bring Honest, America Christian Theocracy to this cesspit of false gods.

Re: God Hates Iceland!
Yes, there are different "versions" of The Bible which in fact are interpretations that contravene God's requirement not to interpret Scripture. Because of this many people have taken up heresy. God explains our experience for us:. . . . . .(quite a lot more about punishment)Originally posted by Hendrik View Post…Asperger syndrome is also a lifestyle, but believe me, it's not. it is inherited. Was I punished by some God?Originally posted by Hendrik View PostI cannot elaborate on this because I have only read the bible once. II Peter 1:19-20 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
As a result, God's assurances about punishment are often obscured or misrepresented when heretics think they know better and apply humanistic interpretations to what God has revealed. Although the Asperger is a punishment, it is not necessarily you who's being punished. It could be your grandparents or your great-great-grandparents or your great-great-great-great-great-grandparents depending on circumstances. The Bible is very clear on this.
Numbers 14:18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.
Deuteronomy 23:2 A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
There are other conditions preventing fellowship with God, certain categories of foreign persons for example, and without God mercy is impossible. Some offences result in a permanent curse on all progeny. The Bible explains all this so that we will know, because God loves us. That's why it's so important not to interpret Scripture by reading different "versions" made up to enable the humanist agenda or heresies such as the Jehovah's Witnesses or Seventh Day Adventists promote. They are not Christians and without God's message as He intended it to be conveyed they write lots of other books to justify their false teachings which, obviously, they don't give away for free. Just look at the Romish horde! Black-leather-bound luxury editions of nonsense, 24-carat-gold-embossed, get out your plastic and start blanching! This stuff doesn't come cheap!!
Christians on the other hand read The Bible. In it we learn about God's Perfect Love and what happens to anyone who rejects it. Choose Jesus today.

I cannot elaborate on this because I have only read the bible once. The old and new testament. Many years ago. But can you also elaborate on matters without citing the bible? I have no understanding, nor will I ever read it again. I will never take commands written in the bible. He seems to be a Wrathful God. All the threats and punishment. I think I already live in the light of Christ. Don't need a book for that. It's just common sense. I don't even have the time. I read other books. We had to. By this, I mean no disrespect to believers or nonbelievers.Originally posted by Dr Laurence Niles View PostIt is odd how many people have ridiculous unfounded supernatural beliefs (such as the Jew, Islamic, Hindaloos and orientals).

I also kept an addict for 2,5 weeks in my house because he had nothing left. Not the best decision but ok. Held his girlfriend also 2 nights before she could enter a hospital.. Isn't that something that your God would do? So tells the bible. If I can remember correctly. I can look up the passage anytime.
But if I read this forum it is forbidden to invite a poor man for Christmas. I recall other things from the bible I read... Maybe there are different versions?

Re: God Hates Iceland!
Thank you for calling me smart, but my IQ is not that high. I just have an urge to learn and solve problems. So I overcome my less than mediocre IQ by those two factors. Not easy these days to get an employment with an Asperger syndrome. Probably you believe to have an Asperger syndrome is also a lifestyle, but believe me, it's not. it is inherited. Was I punished by some God? No, don't think so. Just bad luck. Some tasks I can do very well but others, like socializing and stuff. On a good day, it works fine. But when depression and anxiety set in, I can only do the stuff that I'm good at. Is depression an anxiety a punishment? I think just bad luck again. Why would any God punish me like that? Just for not believing? I cannot comprehend that. NO God can be that cruel. Or should not be that cruel. I do not lead a sinful life but still, I am punished? elaborate on that, please.

I'm not trolling. I just want to understand how some people have blind beliefs and some don't. In my community some also do. Must be great to find power in difficult times in a nonexisting entity. But hey, that's just my opinion.
What can I do get unbanned? Not really sure if I'm banned. I'm unsaved trash, Under Investigation. I would probably never do that to people with a different state of mind. We can only learn from each other.
