Then I'll give you directions to the cemetery in Belgium where they buried what was left of two uncles of mine (after the German mortars and machine guns were finished with them). I'll also let their wives (still alive) and my cousins (who grew up fatherless) know that you consider their sacrifices not worthy of any consideration.

Friend, don't you think that if someone made a false work and attributed it to God, it that was a lie, that God, in His infinite power and wisdom, would of corrected such an egregious error?
By Him having the Bible unchanged since 1620, God has confirmed by His lack of interaction, that it is His Word.
So many of you people are so greedy, demanding 'individual proof'. Don;t you realize if He spent all His time, parting puddles so your feet did not get wet that He would have less time for everything else?
He has told us what He wants. In the Bible.

The problem is that you assume that this is the word of god, it isn't, it is the word of bronze age shepperds in the Middle East that got pieces of other religions and created their own religion. This is a human created book about a human created god.

There would be no need of a ground invasion. Japan was losing all the battles for over 2 years, they no allies anymore (the germans had been defeated already), they were losing resources, their Air Force had lost all their good pilots and had to resort to kamikazes, their Naval armada was dminishing day by day and without new boats to replace the ones lost. It was a matter of time until Japan's surrender. There would be still pelople dying but probably less than the ones that died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and much much less than 5 millions.

Besides I believe that the prime reason for the use of the nukes wasn't to end the war faster but to show to the soviets that America already had the A-bomb and would use it if necessary.
