All we are doing is following those rules and sharing the joy of knowledge that we are going to sit with Him for all of eternity.

The problem is that you assume that this is the word of god, it isn't, it is the word of bronze age shepperds in the Middle East that got pieces of other religions and created their own religion. This is a human created book about a human created god.

For your information, siesta is only practiced in Spain. And Portugal, neutral during the war, indeed sold supplies to both allied and axis armies, but the major support was with the allies supplying the air base in Açores for the American Air Force.
