Jesus loves all His creation so much, He came. Yet the Portuguese refuse to let Him enter them with His love. They are obviously in need of much healing. Spiritual healing. Don't they want a personal relationship with Jesus? Why do they refuse to let Him fill their emptiness with His love? Before long, if they ask with an earnest heart, they will be so full of His love that it practically oozes out of them. All they need to do is ask.

Indeed. And they all seem bound and determined to reject our advice on how to become saved. It troubles me greatly. Satan must be very active in Portugal, it is the only way to explain all of the persecution that they insist on heaping upon us.

I'm really disappointed with a lot of things that had been said here so far.
I'm even more disappointed that no one could answer to the questions I placed here before (is it not wanting to answer or not knowing the answers?)

I would also like to say that the problem with all of this little controversy is that:
first of all we are on the internet, and so these blogs are 'public' for everyone to see.
The problem mainly I think is not against Christ or the Lord (at least that's no problem to me because I do believe in God and feel blessed for my life), but its probably the fact that:
1- Sadly you're judging a whole country because of a bad experience you've had on your vacations brother. I do believe that might have happened for a reason, probably God didn't though you deserved to spend nice vacations that year. Don't expect to be among only Baptist Christians when you travel to a mainly Catholic Country, and that applies to any other country with any other religions or beliefs. If you're so against portuguese people why even bother and travelling here? =s
2- I also think is really sad (and I do say this as a Christian and I really mean this in my heat) to see how much hate some people can generate against others ( who are also creations of God and are loved by Him, and that's why Christ sacrificed for all of us) its really sad for me to see so much hatred and mainly Ignorance in some things I saw written here. And I do say this pointing out a lot of things about Portuguese people. A lot of this here just demonstrate a huge lack of knowledge about Portugal and its culture. And I think that that's why there are so many people coming here angry. I do not agree with them attacking you, your beliefs in God or your country. But I also don't agree with the unjust comments and offences written here against my country and myself (because I am Portuguese).

I'm still waiting for some answer for the questions I made please.

And I do have another question, what is "A True Christian™", I mean Why is it ™(trade mark)?

This thread is generating so much interest at Landover Baptist Church, people were discussing it after the sermon this morning (Pastor Zeke gave a wonderful sermon on sin).

One of senior citizen members, a lady I know, said she understood all Baptists in Portugal have to go to confession with a Priest. "I know it's a Catholic country." she said, "So is it true, Mayor?"

I said I did not know but I would find out. So, I'd like to know if so-called Baptists in Portugal go to Catholic confession?

One simple way to tell a liberal false believer from a True Christian™ is to determine whether or not they still sin. As blood-bought sons of the Lamb, God has changed our hearts so that we are no longer want to sin (Ezekiel 36:26-27). He has also given us the power to live a holy life (Philippians 2:12-13). Indeed, we True Christians™ are not even capable of committing sin! Glory!

Pastor Zeke's sermon on sin this morning included a warning about exposing ourselves to religious material not properly vetted for content. I suspect is was him or a staff member that labeled that liberal church site as porn. We all love him for watching these things.
