I know your not supposed to question his devine works, but one may think
in Job's case the punishment did not fit the crime.

My mother lived a train wreck of a life. In her younger days she was a beautiful person inside and out. She even won first place in a local beauty pageant.

Slowly she changed over the years. There were things that caused this.

She was married to an abuser(second husband) for 9 years.Why she put up with the creep fo so long I'll never know. He used to beat me black (not blue). He abused her too.

She finally threw him out of the house. It was such a great day.

But she was drinking heavily at this time.

A few years later her second son (my little brother) died. Then she went over the edge. Her third husband left her and she moved in with her parents. She continued to drink heavily and was in and out of hospitals

Her parents passed away and then she moved down here close to me.

She was in constant trouble. God finally took her 6 years ago.

I found out later she was sexually abused as a child, and was never treated for it.

May God rest her soul.

She pushed me past my limits, so things got to where we had a bad relationship. There were times I treated her very badly.Then she passed away.

God corrected me. He put me in mental hell for about a week.
I stayed in my pajamas and wept every day. My wife had to take me to the doctor.
A horrible paranoia had overcome me. It was the worst week of my life.
It took me months to recover.

How did I know it was His hand that did this? My daughter prayed for me one day and he told her He had to break me because of the depths I had sunk to.

Remember He means what he says. He watches you and KNOWS WHAT YOU THINK 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And He WILL correct you because he is our Father and he loves us.

Yes. I'm sure God had a great reason to give you a bad mother and a paranoia. Maybe it was some sort of a bet with the Devil, playing with your life the same way He played with Job's?

People amaze me.
I imagine (Of course, I am merely guessing and would never presume) God must alternate between belly laughs and outrage.
God had the Bible created for us. Edited over time to remove the inaccuracies that humans cause. It took a very long time (over 1600 years!!!). I'd like to think people would show a modicum of respect for the effort and do as it instructs. I know I do. Every single thing a person can or could do is clearly spelled out. There is no doubt when following the Bible. A Christian cannot possibly be wrong when following the Holy Word of God.

I have a polite question that I would like to ask you, I once said something and a person of the forum said that it wasn't a direct part of the bible. I respected that, although I'm wondering something new now: When did God say that certain states weren't part of the US? Or did you interpret these words FROM the teachings of the bible, as the Catholic church does? And if so, then why would one interpretation of it (The Catholic Church) be considered evil? Just a bit confused, thank you!

Hi, sweetie. When we say that God hates somebody, we quote Bible verses which prove it. (See, like, this entire thread).

On the other hand, the Catholic Church usually follows the tradition (an amalgamate of teachings accrued over centuries), and not the Bible. You people don't even follow the 10 Commandments - does Exodus 20:4 ring a bell?

Therefore, you cannot compare what we do with what the Catholics do. We follow the Bible. You people ignore it and instead pray to pagan gods (many of your saints started off as pagan gods).

YES and YES! I am a Christian after all. That is the main think about Christianity. If you follow Christ you will be saved. If you do not follow Him, you will be damned. Jesus says that every non-Christian will end up in hell. Read this again.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The only God I accept is the one who loves, forgives, tries to help us, to guide us when we need Him.

You are not a Christian. Every Christian knows that God's name is Jealous, not love. Again, read His word.

How can God only love Christians when ALL the people on this planet are HIS children? If one of your kids would lost his way to the real God and you can do nothing to bring them back, would you let them to burn in Hell? Would you stop loving your child?

God didn't birth every child on earth, human mothers do that. I know. I was there when I had my children. I felt the labor pains, not God. I had the episiotomy, not God. I have the stretch marks, not God. These are my children, not Gods. I became a child of God, a Daughter of the King when He adopted me (2 Corinthians 6:18). You can know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God's child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother (1 John 3:10). If everyone was God's child, as you say, then everyone in the world would do what is right (John 14:15). But not everyone does. In fact, most people don't. They are not God's children. They are sinners and offend our righteous God. God doesn't love them (Psalms 5:5; Leviticus 20:23; Deuteronomy 25:16; Psalm 2:4-9; Psalm 10:3; etc).

I'm Christian. I'm not a perfect one, but I know something: God doesn't HATE. God is the love itself. God is the good happening in the entire world. How can you even speak in His name, talking about things He HATES, and still name yourselves True Christians? Can't you get it? God doesn't hate. God told us to love and not judge. We are all EQUAL in His eyes.
