    Should Pregnant Women Be Seen?

Our sister Felicity's concern over unsightly lumps led me to this issue.

My former husband, who was an avid Bible reader and church attentee and Republican, was reluctant for me to have a child because my pregnant, swelling stomach would be a blantant brandishment of the fact that we had had sex.

He rightly felt that no one should be confronted with any such reminders of sexual activity.

Now, in Godly societies of times past, expectant mothers went into what was referred to as their "confinement". This delicate word was a code for women in a delicate condition. No one went around talking about this process and its ongoing nature was not paraded around for everyone in the community to comment upon.

At least one of the reasons for keeping women barefoot whilst pregnant is to keep them home, away from public display so their previous submission to carnal activities need not be obvious.

When children are weened and toilet trained and able to speak simple Biblical axioms, there is plenty of time to bring them outside and allow they and their mothers to mix with decent folk. Until then, no body needs to be reminded of the private business of Godly people.

The private business of ungodly people is a different matter. That needs to be exposed and rebuked and punished in the bright light of God's Truth.

Please allow me to be more direct and pro-active in my concern.

    Pregnant women should remain home.

We, decent people who are not thinking about sex all the time, do not need to see their big bellies.

When they need to go out to the doctor's or church, tents can be erected that lead from their doorways to cars and vice versa.

Churches should encourage pregnant parishioners to stay home and wait for their husband's play by play of the sermons and prayers offered.

Non-True Christian pregnant women should stay home on general principal.

    That is all.

    Reasonably Yours,

Sweet Jesus, I had forgotten what happens when you ladies are with child. All this talk of Phebes having one in the baby oven is rather unsettling. I mean think about it, when we go anywhere people will know that we had umm you know sex. Its bad enough that Jesus watched us, but now people will think that I am addicted to it. Sister you don't think I am a pervert do you?

Women in a family way, should definitely not be out in public. It's just gross. They are all swollen and disgusting. I can't stand it.

Mayor Hold and the council should pass some sort of law against it.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Did you see what he posted in the breastfeeding thread

I don't understand why these whores do go out, and when they do, why don't they where mumu's like a decent person trying to hide their body.

Not only do they wear tight clothing to show off their "bump", these whores will flash their belly to anyone around and when that's not enough for them to get attention they wear t-shirts that brag about their condition.

Well I can say that when I was pregnant, I didn't want to be seen. My face was broken out, my hair looked like straw, I was ready to puke at a wiff of something. I was psychotically moody, tear your head off and then cry about doing it.

Re: Should Pregnant Women Be Seen?

Brother Campbell, those pictures certainly do illustrate how times have changed.

For some women, a pregnant belly is a fashion accessory. When they have their babies, the trend just continues.

How different from the days when people delicately referred to a women going into confinement, and others had the grace to blush and refrain from asking questions.

One co-worker of mine had a fancy portrait taken of her and her husband when she was expecting.

She was popping out in a white muslin nightdress and her husband was shirtless, wearing white slacks.

They posed in a white background with a bassinet before them.

Essentially, she wanted to create a cover for a romance novel that pictured the end of the story with the baby coming after the steamy courtship etc.

This was opposed to the standard romance cover picturing a scene from the sordid middle third of the story when the shirtless male protagonist has seduced the female protagonist down to her chemise, which is pulled half-way down her bosom.

Still even the expensively posed studio portrait was not as offensive as the still photos of her c-section.

Yes, we, her co-workers, were treated to a pictorial documentation of the whole gruesome thing.

This, my friends, is the real reason that women flaunt their pregnant bellies to the world.

It's their chance to star as the Only Woman Who Has Ever Given Birth In The History Of The World.

They desperately need this because the high has worn off from their weddings when they starred as the Only Woman In The World Who Has Ever Been A Bride.

                  [sigh] Don't get me started.

                  Resignedly Yours,

It is a matter of the utmost importance for teenage girls NOT in a family way to NEVER see anyone pregnant.
It puts all kinds of perverticated and lustishness ideas in their heads and causes them to act the whore.
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

I'm sorry to disagree Brother, but I believe that it was seeing pregnant women (my sister and sister-in-laws) going through the hell of pregnancy that helped confirm my abstinence.

You make an excellent point, sister. Mind you, the pregnant women in question should never be allowed out in public and fussed over, but dragging teenagers into a delivery room and forcing them to watch as a cantelope sized infant head is squeezed out of a peach sized hoo-hoo is about all the sex education that they need.

No pain killers should be given to the woman involved and the adolescent in attendence should be made to see and smell the blood and feces (they never mention that in all the soft-focus pregnancy porn), as well as hear the screams and vaginal tearing.

If God is really on the ball that day, there could also be vomitting.

Man, God was not kidding when He lowered the boom on Eve.

I can see how this may be helpful but a much easier way and much less painful for the family is to take the young lady on a car ride through watermelon or messican town.
There there will be literally hundred's of not quite teenage girls with babies in their bellies. All created by unknown fathers as these 'people' do it all the time with anyone who have a peso or a quarter.
When Mrs. Hutchins is with child, as much as I'd like to send her to live with an aunt while pregnant and during that first horrid year of screaming baby, there is simply too much work for her to do here at the plantation.
So I only send off the last week or so of the baby bake and she stays away for a few weeks thereafter. I make the other girls here pick up the slack.
If she returns with a son, she gets a steak dinner, if she returns with a daughter, she gets chicken broth (made from real chicken bones).
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
