Re: Healthy body weight and image for women

    A humble observation, Sisters:

Although this is no mark of special virtue on their part, it is perhaps worth noting that homers have long benefitted from what would otherwise be a HEALTHY degree of self-loathing concerning obesity. Generally speaking, you don't see too many fat queers.

Consider the implications: If as wretched and benighted a group of people as homers can effectively wield the scourge of self-hatred to scatter the demons of gluttony, just THINK how powerful a weapon it would be in the hands of a right-minded woman of God! The imps of excess would tremble before such a heroine!

So when that grumble in your tummy acts up, Sisters, I will pray that you remember it is but the growling of Satan's minions! Stand before your mirror, grab those love handles, and curse the demonic ugliness before you with all your might! After 30 or 40 minutes, not only should the demons be on the run, but you'll probably have burned some calories to boot! Praise Jesus!

    Yours in Christ

Peter -- That was quite insightful and helpful! I mean this in the most helpful, Christian manner, but you might like to consider staying out of the ladies' section. As a recovering homosexual, you might feel odd "urges" from what the ex-homos at my church said, whenever they saw something that pertained to the ladies. May I suggest you spend some more time in the Mens' Only Section with True Christian, strong, manly, godly men who would help train you up properly. It would probably be more helpful than listen to us natter about sewing, baking, and womanly topics. I know you can overcome your gayness -- for the Lord is on your side, and my prayers are with you! Yours in Christ! Elizabeth

Wise counsel, Sister! WISE counsel! Surrounding oneself with a group of strong and able peers, ever ready to pounce on the least sign of masculine fragility sounds like exactly the right prescription for my particular "affliction."

For as Luke 6:40 teaches us:

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

The fact that even the women of this community are so stocked with good sense is just proof positive that its leaders are truly right-guided!

And of course, uh, it goes without saying that I'm not exactly an authority as regards the affairs of women in general, you know, by personal experience and all...

So I will leave you all to your sewing and other godly matters for the time being.

        Yours in Christ

Notice, I left out women over 5'11. If you're that tall, you are a cow anyway and there's nothing to be done for you.

Remember gals, it's your responsibility to avoid looking like a pig. You don't want your man chasing after the young pretty things like this.

            Or this:

You wouldn't want to cause your man to sin and go after this beauty:

Here are some great diet tips I have found out throughout the years that can really help you if you're getting too fat. The rest of them can be found here.
I must say although I do agree with a woman keeping herself slim for her man I do wonder if an hourglass figure is the perfect body for a woman to keep.

Her chest should be plentiful so she might provide enough milk for her Christian children

Isaiah 66:11 - That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory

Her body should be thin but womanly because otherwise a straight Christian man may be put of if her body looks like that of a young boy.
Some degree of hips is important too for childbearing.

I doubt the women in this picture will be able to provide children and are most likely infertile.

Genesis 9:7 - And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

As a man I must agree with this.

As a woman, I am 5' 4" tall, compared to my husband who is a full foot taller than me, and we make sure I never weigh more than 105 (I am pregnant, after all). He feels like that is a reasonably weight to keep me slender looking, but still fit enough for when it is time to give birth. After all, I do need to go back to looking desirable for him, when it comes around to child number 2.
