Cassie, I want you to know, the authorities are planning to arrest Mrs. Johnson for aiding and abetting. As I understand it, they are planning to arrest her DURING Church services tomorrow, in front of the entire town. You must do what you can to avert this event from occurring. Stop being so selfish for one minute and think about kind, sweet, elderly Mrs. Johnson. I know she has a weak heart and would hate to see it be broken all because you are a dope fiend.

Brother James it is a crying shame that Cassandra is willing to let that poor old lady take a fall for her, selfish just plain selfish. Hey Cassie, you up? I feel really bad with something GOOD happening in my life while yours is going kind of BAD...this is kind of hard for me to wrie.

But I've checked it all out with the airlines, and the ticked to New York is REAL! It's all on the up-and-up!! So the long and the short of it (you know how I can go on!) is I really have to give Broadway my best shot now that the opportunity's here...this might not happen again! I mean, wow...who would have thought a big Broadway producer would have found the star of his next musical blockbuster in FREEHOLD, Iowa!??? How likely is that to happen again?? Maybe it's even a sign of some sort??? I don't know...have to keep packing

But I mentioned your concerns about Francis, from the Sanctuary Salon, and Mr. DeWitt checked with Sayved, and he got back to me and said Sayved said Francis is fine, and is actually WORKING ON THIS SHOW, TOO! Small world!!!! (The whole grissly bear thing was just so Francis' mom wouldn't feel he'd abandoned her.) So anyway, I'll have a lot of updates and good gossip from him for you when we talk next! Cool!

Cassandra the offer I made to Beaux was genuine. I lived my hole life in New York and the Theater is a big part of it. While I do not think his sexural orientation is the best option, it is his choice. I will do my best to help the young lad, you never know, one day we might say I knew him when he was just a young pup in Freehold IA.

1. Mrs. Johnson will not go to church, after it has become clear what her role is in the Free Women For Freehold organization. In case you forgot, there is a sign "unsaved unwelcome" over the main entrance.
2. I can't avert this event by turning myself in in any way (if she really were guilty of anything, it should not matter if I did), and if I could, I wouldn't do it, because I'm simply not guilty of those charges. Mrs. Johnson wouldn't want me to throw away my life to save her.

And have you had contact with Broadway as well? Anyone can buy an airline ticket, especially wealthy shady businessmen like Dewitt. Please, check this first, I'm convinced that there is no offer from the Broadway Company.

After all, isn't it a little bit of a coincidence, right at the moment that you are here fulfilling a vital role as one of the most eloquent defenders of mr. King, an offer arrives that would get you away from Freehold, when you are most needed?

Add this to the fact that we already know that Dewitt is capable of plotting elaborate schemes together with Hold and the church officials, and it's hard to believe that this wouldn't be a set-up in some way.

Beaux, THAT'S A LIE! There was a police investigation to the matter, and Sayved brought a shred of Francis' pants back, stained with blood. DNA analysis confirmed that it was Francis' blood! Remember, his best friends in Freehold couldn't contact him (including his boyfriend!). Why wouldn't he let them know, if something great like that happened?

Secondly, they went to Vegas. You go to New York. It's an amazing coincidence (again) that Francis would meet a guy from the Broadway company in Vegas, isn't it?

Thirdly, the world definitely isn't small. How big is the chance that both you and Francis would both encounter exactly the same very lucky offer? Very small. Add to that the fact that it happens right now at the height of election time, and there is no room for doubt anymore. They are trying to trick you!

Beaux, we've known each other since we were kids. You always were a dreamer, and I remember the other kids telling you to go into the forest to find the pot of leprechaun gold at the end of the rainbow you just saw, or to collect dewdrops on leaves and use them to make jewels out of them for your mother. You tried both these things. Of course, that was years and years ago, but these people know that this happened as well, and are playing into it.

I know this is about the best thing that could happen to you, and I would really love to see these wonderful things happen to you, but that's part of the trick; of course the LBC and Dewitt want to make the offer irresistible. Don't let them fool you, before you leave Freehold, first check if the offer from Broadway is really there, and if Francis really works there. If both these things are true, than the offer might really be genuine. Though I would then still believe that the purpose of all this would be to get you out of the way here.

I think you are missing the big picture. Natural selection is a completely random and arbitrary process. Your attempt to disparage another species on the basis of the behavior of an evolutionary descendant is uncalled for.

Mr. Dewitt is not the issue here, how ever his particular genetic line has evolved is not the issue either. You proclaim yourself to be open minded and progressive yet you drag innocent simians into your specious (at best) arguments.

Mr. Scopes, I never said anything about the general behaviour of monkeys. I didn't specify which part of his behaviour made him resemble a monkey. How, then, did you get the idea that I was "disparaging them?"

How can a belief be nonexistant? If I believe something, then the beliefs exist. Of course, the objects of belief might not exist (though in my case, they certainly do).
