  • Elizabeth Smart 'disses' her Rapist in Court

How can she pretend to be Religious herself when she refused to pretend (as he did) that she was Married to him as he raped her?

Maybe this is a 'mormon thing' - inscrutable as their fringey underwear

Elizabeth Smart says she was raped daily

    By JENNIFER DOBNER
    Associated Press Writer

    (Wow! What a hussy!!!)

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- At knifepoint, Elizabeth Smart was abducted from her girlhood bedroom, she said, then led to a secluded mountain campsite, where a self-proclaimed prophet made her his 14-year-old polygamous "wife" in a quickie ceremony.

"After that he proceeded to rape me," Smart, now 21, said, sharing for the first time publicly her account of the ordeal.

Brian David Mitchell, a one-time street preacher, is accused of holding Smart captive for nine months. He has been behind bars since 2003 - mostly in a state mental hospital - but has yet to stand trial.

At a court proceeding held Thursday over whether Mitchell, 55, is mentally competent to stand trial, Smart provided the horrifying account of her 2002 abduction.

She testified that her captor raped her three or four times a day and threatened to kill her if she yelled or tried to escape. She was on the stand for nearly two hours, and her voice never wavered.

Asked by a prosecutor to describe Mitchell, Smart replied: "Evil, wicked, manipulative, stinky, slimy, greedy, selfish, not spiritual, not religious, not close to God."

Smart was rescued in March 2003 after a motorist spotted her walking the streets of a Salt Lake City suburb with Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Eileen Barzee.

Twice Mitchell has been ruled mentally incompetent in state court, and he has often demonstrated bizarre behavior, including incessantly singing hymns in the courtroom and once yelling at a judge to repent.

A federal judge ruled earlier this week that Smart's testimony is relevant to the question of Mitchell's competency. Mitchell's competency hearing is not set to begin until Nov. 30, but Smart testified early because she is going on a religious mission for the Mormon church in Paris.

In the days immediately following the 2002 kidnapping, Mitchell held Smart captive with the help of a 10-foot cable tethered to a line between two trees and bolted to her leg, she said.

"He told me he was a prophet," Smart said under cross-examination by Mitchell's lawyer. "He said he was the voice of God on Earth and that he would reign over God's children until Jesus came."

But she also said his religious revelations seemed to come only when he wanted something, or when he was trying to calm his wife. Smart said she believed Mitchell always knew that he could be punished for her kidnapping and understood how the court system worked.

She said he gave her an alias - Augustine Marshall - and told her what to say to police if they were ever questioned. He also bragged about skirting previous accusations of sexual abuse and fooling others, Smart said.

Never in nine months did Mitchell appear confused or out of control, Smart testified: "He was a very capable, intelligent human being."

Smart had wanted to face her alleged tormentor Thursday, said her father, Ed Smart, but Mitchell was removed from the courtroom for disruptive behavior before Smart arrived. He watched the proceedings from a holding cell.

"She actually wanted to face him," Ed Smart said. "She asked if he could be muzzled and sit and watch."

Smart's parents and other family members were in the courtroom to support her. Her father had already heard much of the story but said later outside court he had learned a few new details. He did not elaborate.

"I was absolutely amazed at her strength," he said, his eyes teary. "I don't know how she could have done a better job than she did."

Smart said Mitchell showed her pornography and plied her with alcohol and drugs to lower her resistance to his sexual advances. Once, Smart said, she tried to fight Mitchell off by biting him. Smart said there was some respite - usually when Barzee became upset over Mitchell's relationship with Smart - but it never lasted.

Mitchell is charged in state court with kidnapping and sexual assault. Last year, he was indicted on federal charges of kidnapping and transporting a minor across state lines. In both the state and federal cases, experts have split over Mitchell's competency.

Mitchell's lawyers maintain he is incompetent and suggested that evidence of his delusions can be found in his religious rambling and writings, including a 27-page manifesto he called "The Book of Emmanuel David Isaiah."

Smart said he read from the book repeatedly during her captivity, often sang hymns and laced his conversations with religious language.

Throughout her captivity, Smart was forced to wear a white, ankle-length robe, a head scarf and two veils across her face.

Isn't this the same girl who voluntarily stayed with her alleged "kidnapper"? I remember this case. She was missing for a long time, but turns out she was just a couple miles from her parent's house living with her new husband and his wife.

What this appears to be is just a jealous harlot upset over their polygamous marriage. No doubt Elizabeth felt a bit betrayed by having her husband favor his first wife over her. So she made up the allegations of "rape and kidnapping" in order to discredit him.

Think about it: If she was really kidnapped...and really raped...why did she choose to stay with him? She had chances to run away!

As I understand it, she is merely a typical gold-digger.

Once Mitchell's wealth was exhausted, she left him. Since her marriage to him was a sham (else she'd of had to return a portion of her ill gotten goods in the divorce), the shame brought on to her father could only be covered by claiming rape. Mitchell was now destitute and unable to pay the requisite 50 shekels, so the slut smeared him with a trial. Quite a sordid story, really.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

This all is so typical of the sinners that participate in that made up religion in Utah. Jesus is pissed that they even have the audacity to claim "sainthood". It smacks of a catlick/moron conspiracy.

        Leviticus 26:27-29

        27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.

Sounds like a modern day Jezebel to me, and we all know how God despised Jezebel... (2 Kings 9:10 - 10And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.)

Marriage is sacred in our Lord's eyes and she was clearly not obedient to her husband, so... My daddy told me never to talk out of the home as well, not sure if there is a scripture for that, but I do know that children must obey their parents and be obedient to their husbands will.

This could only come from Utah anyway. I knew a guy (very briefly) who is a mormon and he told me they believe that the days Jesus was in the grave, He actually wasn't - He escaped and someone managed to go to Salt Lake City and back and whilst there for like one day He started the Mormon-Religion. BLASPHEMY.
Psalm 1:5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

Re: Elizabeth Smart 'disses' her Rapist in Court

Drunken Lizzie STOO-PID continues to whinge daily re her Rapist at CNN.com. I don't know how the good Christian folk there stomach it.

            Here's all I could personally handle from today's swill-pile:

(CNN) -- Elizabeth Smart was not afraid to face Brian Mitchell in her first testimony detailing her 2002 abduction.

(Did even brazen JEZEBEL leer so?)

Elizabeth Smart, now 21 and in college, testified that Brian Mitchell raped her daily.

In fact, her father said, she wanted the man who allegedly kept her tethered to a tree in the Utah woods muzzled and forced to listen to her testimony.

Mitchell was in court Thursday for a competency hearing, but Smart never saw him because U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball ordered him removed from the court when he ignored requests to stop singing and disrupting the proceedings. He watched via a closed-circuit camera from another room.

"She actually wanted to face him," Ed Smart said. "I think she asked [U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman] if he could be muzzled and have to sit there and watch it."

Tolman, standing alongside Smart's father after Thursday's hearing in Salt Lake City, confirmed the 21-year-old woman's request: "She did ask me whether or not [Mitchell] got to see that testimony and hear that testimony, and I indicated to her, to her relief, that he was there in a room with the audio and video and had nothing else to do but listen."

Mitchell is accused of abducting Smart from the bedroom of her Salt Lake City, Utah, home in June 2002. She testified that she was kept captive in Utah and California until March 2003, when she was found walking down a street in Sandy, Utah, with Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. Smart said that, during those nine months, no 24-hour period passed without Mitchell being able to rape her.

Public defender Robert Steele says Mitchell is mentally ill, but Tolman said he believes that Mitchell "has attempted to fool or to deceive the system."

Ed Smart said he hopes his daughter's testimony nixes the notion that Mitchell cannot stand trial, "and if this doesn't clinch the issue of competency, our nation is in really, really bad shape, because it means that anyone out there can manipulate and make the court do what it wants."

Mitchell and Barzee are charged with six felony counts, including aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault.

Smart's testimony began with details of how she was abducted at knife point while she slept next to her sister. She was 14 at the time.
She said Mitchell took her to a wooded area not far from her home, performed a marriage ceremony and began raping her. Mitchell often sang about his intentions, she testified: "He would come up the mountainside, yelling, 'I'm going to [expletive] your eyes out.' "

Mitchell also threatened to kill her if she tried to escape, Smart said.
"He said an angel would strike me down with a sword," she said, "but he also told me that he would be that angel."

Mitchell gave her drugs and alcohol, showed her pornography and used religion to justify most of his actions, she testified. He also said he was God's servant, a prophet, and would one day face and kill the Antichrist, she said.

On one occasion, Smart said, she vomited after Mitchell gave her too much to drink.

"He let me lie face-down in my vomit for the entire night until I woke up the next day," she told the court. "He said that was showing my true state, that I was laying face-down in my vomit."

That morning illustrated a recurring theme, she said, explaining that Mitchell often rationalized his actions by saying they would ultimately yield greater spirituality.

"He said that first I had to be humbled and to sink below all things before arising above all things," she recalled. "You have to experience the lowest form of humanity to experience the highest."

Smart, now a Brigham Young University student and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, described Mitchell as "evil, wicked, manipulative, sneaky, slimy, selfish, greedy, not spiritual, not religious, not close to God."
