Justice of the Peace Refuses to Marry Mixed-Race Couples

A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have. Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long.

"I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday. "I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else."

Bardwell said he asks everyone who calls about marriage if they are a mixed race couple. If they are, he does not marry them, he said.

Sounds like a good man to me, obviously not a racist. He even lets negroes use his bathroom. He's just opposed to miscegenation, like any right-minded person would be.

Of course, as always, the ACLU is sticking its nose where it doesn't belong:

The ACLU sent a letter to the Louisiana Judiciary Committee, which oversees the state justices of the peace, asking them to investigate Bardwell and recommending "the most severe sanctions available, because such blatant bigotry poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the administration of justice."

I support this man on principle. This is what the Bible has to say about mixed marriages:
Ezra 10:10 And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
Ezra 10:11 Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives.
Ezra 10:12 Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.

Then Ezra went on to publicly shame everyone who had a mixed marriage in verses 18-43. Anyone was required to abandon their other-racial wife and half-breed kids or else all their property would be confiscated and and they would be stripped of citizenship. Now that's what I call an anti-miscegenation law.

Praise Jesus! It always gives me a Godly chill when I hear about a man who isn't afraid to stand up to liberal race traitors and put a stop to their blasphmemous practices. God hates miscegenation, that's made clear in a variety of Scriptures. Christians overturned gay marriage in California. Maybe we can keep this tide rolling and start overturning mixed-race marriage now too. We've got some ballot initiatives to write!

I think the logic in his argument is so sound we should expand it to other issues. For example, Muslim children are also outcasts, so forbidding muslims to marry would be a good idea. Short men and women with small breasts tend to have short sons and flat daughters - who are also on the bottom of the social ladder. It would be cruel to the children to allow them to marry.

We've already determined that the govenment should choose who can and cannot marry. We wouldn't oppose gay marriage if we didn't believe that the best marriage decisions are made by the government.

It's just common sense to know that a negro man/white woman marriage won't last. Negroids (especially the men) are scientifically documented to be more likely to cheat on their women. Adultery is pretty much a 100% likelihood. Just look at welfare statistics or watch a couple Maury shows.

The Justice is actually looking out for the couple's benefit as he does not want them to go through the inevitable divorce. Also, he is saving lots of money on future paternity suit cases.

I honestly don't see what is so controversial about this.

Policies like this used to be just plain common sense until unelected liberal activist judges overruled democracy and forced their views on the rest of us. Let's not forget that the almost-True Christians™ at Bob Jones University lost their freedom of religion over the issue of interracial "dating."

Also, I am tired of hearing that policies like this somehow violate the judicially legislated dogma of "equal protection of the laws." All people have the equal right to marry someone of the same race, just as all people have the equal right to marry someone of the opposite sex.

Well, if I can dissent a bit, being married to an ex-eskimo I think it's sometimes okay for a white man to marry a woman of another race. After all, the man is the head of the household and can civilize his wife and show her the error of her ways. And the kids can be raised with proper white Christian values.

But it should never be allowed the other way around. Am I off base here? Thoughts?

After all, the man is the head of the household and can civilize his wife and show her the error of her ways. And the kids can be raised with proper white Christian values.

But it should never be allowed the other way around. Am I off base here? Thoughts?

In general, God does not approve of race mixing. Show me a man who thinks race-mixing is not an abomination unto God, and I'll show you a man who hasn't read Ezra, chapters 9 and 10.

If you have a dark-skinned wife and a bunch of little half-breed mongrels running around, the way to get right with God is to just abandon them. That's Godly advice straight from the Bible. Your marriage doesn't count anyway and your children are bastards as far as God is concerned. Shout Glory!

They do lighten my load considerably since I've worked all of them from the time they could walk. Soon of them will be able to earn money outside the home soon, it would be a shame to leave them now just when they're about to start paying off. The help at home leaves me more time to be the breadwinner and allows me to maintain a decent income that I can tithe to LBC. Being paid in Canadian $ I do have to work twice as hard and twice as long just to make what amounts to a pittance in real American dollars.

Well, since you live up there in the tundra of Cannukistan, I suppose having an injun squaw for a concubine is probably legal. I don't know what else you'd do with it. Can you get it to understand God's Holy Word at all?

Down here we put them to work in casinos, or have them stand in front of cigar stores. Otherwise they're useless.
