Why Pardon Turkeys. They Drop Dead Anyway.

I was so disappointed when Iowa's Governor Terry Branstad pardoned another couple of stupid turkeys the other day. These turkeys were hatched for one purpose, to be butchered and eaten on Thanksgiving Day.

Now we learn the fate of one of these "pardoned turkeys". It was a turkey pardoned by Mr. Big Pardon Guy, Obama, last Thanksgiving.

The witless turkey is dead. It lasted less than a year.

The thing is, our Godly capitalistic system breeds these turkeys like race horses. They have big breasts for white meat and low immune systems. They are kept alive with anti biotics and programed to be eaten or dead in a few months.

So, let's write our Presidents and Governors and tell them to cut this ceremony from their busy schedules next year.

I agree Obama pardoning turkeys is an insane habit. Animals are to be killed and eaten (Genesis 9:3). Beyond that animals are utterly useless. I think the problem here is that Obama is a coward. A real man would have killed that turkey with his bare hands.
