I feel like my eyes are bleeding after seeing photos of the Skywhale’s maiden voyage. The Skywhale is a 34-metre long hot-air balloon in the shape of a whale… with ten pendulous breasts. It was commissioned by the government of the Australia Capital Territory at a cost of $300,000 ostensibly to celebrate Canberra’s centenary. But its real purpose seems to be to promote evolution and bestiality.
The artist who designed Skywhale said she put breasts on the whale to reflect that whales are mammals that breastfeed their young. In other words, she wanted to promote the fairy tale of evolution, which teaches that whales evolved from cows that decided they wanted to swim, which in turn evolved from fish that decided they wanted to walk on land. Whales are fish. They were created by God in their present form with dormant genes for growing hind legs. Skywhale encourages spectators to think perhaps whales are not so different from people.
This kind of thinking will inevitably lead to a rise in bestiality. If humans are just animals, then every time humans have sex with humans they are committing bestiality anyway, so what does it matter if people have sex with another species? And by putting large human breasts on the Skywhale, the artist must have known it would make animals in general look more appealing to unsaved men and lesbians.
I also can’t help but think the artist wanted to promote the feminist agenda as well. Why make a female whale and glorify the disgusting act of breastfeeding? But I can’t say I’m surprised. In a country ruled by a female atheist Prime Minister and liberal Labor government this sort of thing is pretty much the norm.
