Re: Business Application Update
There is a further quandry to ponder about this dispute.
Since I'm not a theologian, I wanted a little information on something that was bothering me.
Right in the middle of everything that was going on last week, I phoned up a Jewish Mayor I know west of here. I told him about the Rothstein controversey. I asked him this question, "Do you think Mr. Rothstein's ancestors had anything to do with the murder of Jesus?"
He said there was no possibility. "I think his people were from a different tribe or something."
Knowing that, I was really reluctant to move on Mr. Rothstein's property. If he was in no way responsible for the death of Jesus, should not we cut him a little slack?

Phebe and I are growing impatient. We need to start construction soon. If we don't get all the land soon, I am afraid we will have to look at another location, possibly Chicago or back in AU. If we move we will be forced to close all of our business interests in Freehold. That's a lot of Christian jobs we are talking about. I don't think that the church will like the sudden drop in tithe monies, it can be difficult to pay bills and tithe when you are on unemployment. But I am sure the Mayor will be able to find work for all 2500 people that I employ in Freehold. The absolute worse case scenario will be the loss of 2500 votes, because he caused their sudden unemployment.
Well, I guess Helen would do OK in the Windy City. Probably more homers there for her to concentrate on Saving, anyway!

Warsaw, Poland - A married couple have revealed how they turned their backs on their violent neo-Nazi past – after discovering they were both Jewish.
The one-time skinheads grew up as part of a hate-filled white power gang in Warsaw, the capital of Poland and once the site of the largest Jewish ghetto in Nazi-occupied Europe.
But now they are devout members of an Orthodox Jewish synagogue.

Well Seth and I were discussing this situation, and Seth is wondering where the Jew came from and why the Mayor is so willing to bend over for him. Perhaps the Mayor should remember what religion the majority of the voters are in Freehold. Also that a lot of liebral women (including Jews) tend to vote differently then their husbands thereby basically invalidating both votes.Originally posted by Rev. M. Do I smell a recall?

Friends,Originally posted by James Dewitt View PostI do not understand the problem, the Joo says he paid $2600 dollars for the property, I offered $12,000 in cash for it, and I will not charge him to tear down the structure, or he can move it if he likes the building so much. We just need the land. Pastor if you can get the building condemned it will speed up the process. Phebe and I are considering naming the building The Ezekiel Flint Memorial Building.I can not think of a better name to house DFAC, World Wide Charities.
If I may borrow the cliche, what we have here is a failure to communicate.
I did indeed secure sole title to the property for $2600. This was the amount owed to the county for delinquent property taxes.
As I have explained, as a shrewd Jewish businessman, I have been watching property in Freehold for quite some time. The previous owners of the business formerly known as "Freehold Video Game Exchange" were forced into bankruptcy due to your absolute intolerance for these nonsensical video games. I hardly hate them to the extent you do, but have little use for them myself as they are a distraction to accomplishment in the real world.
FVGE had NO first trust deed and essentially owned the property outright. They did have creditors, but none were collateralized with the property.
Your county certainly should have realized that retaining title to a $400K property as a long term investment would be wiser than simply accepting the $2600 owed on the courthouse steps. But this ignorance and ineptitude is a concern of your residents. Not mine.
I sincerely hope this clarifies the issue at hand. I will produce the title to any and all that wish to see it. But I will not be cheated out of a very reasonable $400,000 profit.
Shalom

Re: Business Application Update
I've developed some new concerns about the Rothstein property.
When a property stands empty for a considerable period of time, things happened that threaten the health and safety of the community at large. That is, the property becomes home for rabid bats, rats and vagrants.
I have tasked the Freehold City Heath Department and Police Department with monitoring the property for signs of trouble. This monitoring will come to a close when the Rothstein enterprise opens its doors, which has not happened.
Members of the public who observe questionable things are welcome to inform City Hall of what they have seen.

Mr. Rothstein--I a politican, not a businessman. But I'd like to offer a suggestion here.Originally posted by David Rothstein View PostPrecisely. Mayor Hold appears ready to spend millions of dollars from the city's general fund rather than pay a fair price for my property.

First, please remember that Jews have a long history of success in business and in the arts. Here is you opportunity to demonstrate to the citizens of Freehold that Jewish people have a place in our community. To simply complain and give up should not be an option to you.
Second, I think you need to develop a business plan. Here is one I'll just pass along. You will need to negotiate access with the Dewitts, of course. They, being fine Christian people, will do their very best to accomodate you I am sure. Then, since the public driving by will not be able to see you place of business, you will need to make people aware that you are there. Here I have a great idea.
There are lots of high school and college students in the area. You can hire one, dress him in a full body Satan suit with a sign, "Pawn and Loans Here" and train him to wave at motorists.
To be honest, I think you have a bright future in Freehold.
