Notice: Freehold Emergency Food Pantry to be Shut Down

It has come to my attention that the Freehold Emergency Food Pantry has been very busy these last six months. Food donations have been strong and the number of people requesting emergency food supplies has been climbing. I suppose this has something to do with the poor economy or something like that.

This unfortunate development represents a moral failing in our community. No one should be humiliating another person by implying he or she is in such bad straights they need a hand out. No person should allow themselves to fall into a position where they have such a need. Both sides must stop this. Both should pray to Jesus for forgiveness.

I believe Freehold can become a beacon of hope for a new and stronger economy in the United States. This can be done by developing a moral fiber that will drive hungery people out into the streets the find work and keep others from donating food that softens the will to work.

For this reason, I have ordered the Freehold Emergency Food Pantry Doors shuttered tomorrow. If you have placed cans of food in the various collection boxes around town, please retrieve your donation at the earliest possible moment.

I had no idea we had a communist cell here in Freehold. After you shut it down, send me a list of the names of the organizers and the recipients. We'll have Brother BJ and his boys in security pay them a vist.

Great work, Mayor Hold. There's nothing like a little hunger in the belly to get these bums to pull themselves up by their bootstraps! We'll instill the Protestant Work Ethic on these vagrants yet.

It really gets my dander up when people go running around asking for hand outs. For the better part of two weeks I ran and add in the paper, I put up fliers at the local stores looking for people to tidy up 1200 acres of leaves. I offered a decent wage and even offered to feed them lunch. I did not receive a single response, not one. I guess its easier to get a hand out than to work for it, THANKS OSAMBA thanks! If that's the way it is I am happy the pantry is closed for good.

Did you try the high school? You may have to pay a bit more, but you're more likely to find some nice young men willing to do the job rather than the "unemployed".

I am going to do that today and will ask Pastor Ezekiel to post a notice on the church bulletin board. Good Christian boys will do a better job anyway.

Piles of leaves are seldom a problem here in the trailer park. We have many trees, but no leaves on the ground.

One of my neighbors said he sees negroidal types running around raking them up late at night.

He said he had it on very good authority that the spades haul the leaves back to Des Moines where they run them through a shredder. They then sell little bags of the stuff to all the drug addicts.

The bags have labels reading "Freehold Fantasy" on them.

I suppose it's better than smoking driftwood, but I have to believe there's some squirrel poop mixed in and maybe that makes it taste better.

Brother Tannor, don't a number of your residents get food from the food pantry? Isn't that cost savings something that helps them be able to pay their rent?

Hmm. Closing the food pantry, which means half of your tenants either starve or move. Removing the handicap ramps, which means a number of your disabled and elderly tenants can no longer get around town.

It's as though Holdstein has it in for you. Or maybe he has his eye on your property, a few blocks from downtown Freehold?

Does anyone else find it interesting that the ramp removal started in Jenkem Flats, and not a single ramp has been removed downtown, or in Leviticus Landing, or any of the other well-to-do areas?
