I feel sorry for the person who doesn't see the black child and hits him (who COULD see then when they are dark as night and blend in).

The innocent victim that hits the blackie has to endure being late to where ever he is going if he stops to see what he hit. Then, if there is any damage to the car he has to go through the time and trouble to have it repaired. Not to mention the costs.

I think the parents of the blackies should be required to dress the children in bright yellow or orange jump suits that glow in the dark or have lights sewn in them.

Does anyone know if any of these ''afro-shoe'' type footwear have an audible alarm so a person would be heard before being seen [a benefit to older, hard of hearing brethren]?
Mother is in a nursing home that has many employees that regularly startle her in the evenings. If there were noisy shoes available I would be more than happy to supply them to their staff. Any help would be appreciated.

Making the young of our local colored population more visible will certainly help, but I fear that they carry two inborn tendencies that will cause them to be road hazards for the foreseeable future. First and foremost is there shuffling, shambling gait.

As we all know, unless a negro is fleeing law enforcement or chasing a white woman in order to rape her, they scarcely move at all. Have you ever seen a colored child or adult hurry across a street? Of course not, because it has never happened!

Secondly, as slow witted as they are, most of your American negroes understand that they lead empty, meaningless lives. This leads to feelings of hopelessness and a particularly virulent ennui.

Now, when you combine this intense innate laziness with their crippling ambivalence as to whether they live or die, you see why they do not seem particularly concerned about being killed in traffic.

I dare say that if I were a negro, it is not inconceivable that I too might find the day to day struggle to survive utterly pointless. Simply giving up and letting a speeding car snuff the life out me would seem to be a viable option in my opinion.

It's a common, but misinformed stereotype that African-Americans are more prone to crime and violence than other races. African-Americans are actually less likely to commit murder, rape, robbery, assault, etc. than any other race. The problem is we have institutionalized racism in police forces around the country, along with a clouded delusion among white folk that we are somehow "dangerous".

Yes, statistics show that African-Americans are more likely commit crimes, but what it's actually showing is the African-Americans who get arrested for crimes. White people commit 10x as many murders as African-Americans, but the police force either turns a blind eye for it or frames it on an innocent African-American (The O.J. Simpson case is the most famous example).

In training, many police officers are told to look out for any suspicious drivers, suspicious being a hispanic woman and a black man, or a black woman and a white man, or any other racial combination. A boston cop, Justin Barrett, communicated by mass email his opinion on the Henry Louis Gates arrest, saying "If I was the officer (Gates) verbally assaulted like a banana-eating jungle monkey, I would have sprayed him in the face with OC deserving of his belligerent noncompliance." (OC, of course, is pepper spray.)
Barrett was swiftly stripped of his gun and badge, and rightfully so, but what's troubling is that it happened in the first place. And that's just a well known case. Police forces in the past have tased black men to death, thinking that they were pulling out a gun when instead they were retrieving their ID. They have arrested perfectly innocent colored people for no more apparent reason than being colored. O.J. Simpson was convicted (and then acquitted, thankfully) on next to zero evidence.
