Jesus denies a false Christian's request to raise his dead wife.

This is a news article that proves that only those with the right kind of faith can raise people from the dead.

Matthew 10:7-8 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Police: US man lived with body of dead fiancee for days, praying she would return to life

WICHITA, Kan. - Police in Kansas say a 57-year-old man lived with the body of his dead fiancee for several days, praying she would be brought back to life.
Investigators don't suspect foul play, but an autopsy on the 54-year-old woman was planned Thursday.
Calls from neighbours concerned about the woman's welfare sent police Wednesday night to the home the couple shared in Wichita. Officers said the man didn't want to let the officers in. He was detained after they smelled a strong odour.
KAKE-TV reports the man told officers he was praying for divine intervention to bring his fiancee back to life. He was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
Police believe the woman died about one week earlier.

John 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Luke 8:40-55 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.
And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.
And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

Luke 7:14-15 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

Being God choose not to bring the woman back just proves the mans love for God was weak. Another miracle!

And people are always saying they do not see the divine hand of God at work. The poor guy never gets a day off!

I'm afraid you have made a slight error in your post brother. God obviously intended for his wife to stay dead. Not even a True Christian can change the will of God through prayer, the strength of his love for God wasn't even a factor. Praise Jesus

You might want to check out James 5:16-18 (among others).

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."

God listens to our prayers. If yours have not been answered it's because God thinks you are slack in your devotion to Him.

          Yours in Christ,
