There are disturbing reports about a series of meetings being held here in Iowa on whether the use of marijuana should be allowed for medical purposes.

Read that again: Here in Iowa – the home of the Landover Baptist Church!!!

Advocates of making the demon weed available for “medical” use are attending these meetings and asking for legal approval of this noxious substance. They claim its use would be to alleviate pain from disease and injuries. They completely ignore the fact that God caused the disease or injury and will provide whatever is needed to overcome it.

Opponents are hanging on by their fingernails using well-established facts about how using this vile weed results in users going from marijuana to stronger and stronger illegal drugs. And the end results are always tragic. The user starts by selling off all his property for the money to support the habit. Stealing comes next. And then the final degradation – voting Democratic.

Citizens of Freehold: it is time to stand up and be counted as ones who oppose this legalization of illegal substances. Call your legislator, write a letter to the editor, and increase your tithing to build up the Church’s coffers to better fight the battle.

But what about when He doesn't provide "whatever" is needed to overcome it? Why did He put this plant on earth then? Why does the plant has anti-cancerous effects? Is that all from the devil?

I'm 100% sure that you are like a hundred years late. Marijuana is NOT physically addictive and nobody would do all that stuff just to have some marijuana. And show me one proof that marijuana leads the user for harder drugs (other than IT being illegal, thus pushing the user to deal with the black market)..

And I'll be the first one voting yes to this and will be sure to call my legislator to tell him that it shouldn't even be legal just for medical use, no... but fully Legalized..
The first bill of Full Legalization of marijuana has been already introduced for Cali. and Mass. (for anyone who is 21+ years old) and will most likely (99.5%) pass...
You better off searching why it was ILLEGAL on the first place instead of calling the herb "Satan's drugs"...
Why isn't alcohol or tobacco Satan's drug and they are proven to be way more harmful than marijuana?

Just because God made a plant doesn't make it good. Are you about to go out and smoke some poison ivy just because it's "natural" and "God made it"? Also, it doesn't have anti-cancerous effects; it's a known carcinogen! Smoking anything can give you throat, mouth, or lung cancer.

If it's not addictive, how come there's so many pot-obsessed people like you who do it 24/7? There's potheads that are literally stoned all their waking hours. That sounds quite dangerous to me. And you damn well know its a gateway drug. People get bored of it and go after harder substances like coke and speed. I've dealt with many people who led a life of drug abuse and turned their life over to Christ. The vast majority of them have told me they started out on pot.

I 100% agree with you. Smoking ANYTHING could give you mouth, lung or throat cancer. But what proves your ignorance that you didn't even bother doing researches on the subject and said that it could be only smoked. What you don't know is marijuana could be edible and vaporized, which is far way safer than smoking.

Speaking from a personal experience (you AND me) is not a way to discuss something. Just because YOU have seen some horrible marijuana smokers, doesn't mean all of them are like that. The black market is what is forcing the users to go for harder drugs. And does prohibition ever worked? Sad but true, NO.

Who said pot totally prevents all types of cancer? Who said it FULLY cures cancer? It MIGHT prevent cancer and protect a user from it (doesn't mean everybody should be doing it, but doesn't mean also we should call it Satan's Drug!)

I think the choice over what evidence to follow is obvious; science as a creation of man can easily be manipulated to prove what ever the viewer wants (evolution is a prime example of this). This is so unlike Scripture which we all agree is unchanging and crystal clear in meaning. The rational choice is to follow The Bible.

Where did Jesus said no about taking a medicine. I'm not OK with getting stoned (baked, extremely high, wasted, blasted, blazed, etc...). But I'm okay with it as being a medicine. I'm sure getting highly intoxicated for recreational use is NOT okay with the Bible and Jesus (and I fully agree with you).
It's just so wrong that somebody comes and says "SAY NO TO A MEDICINE!" and that's what I don't agree with.when somebody says it the Evilest Satanist Drug just because it is CURRENTLY illegal (or only allowed for medical use in some states) doesn't mean it's all that bad. Do your own researches and know why it was made illegal in the first place. Marijuana is not being legalized, no, but re-legalized.

Brother, when I give you links to websites and such, I give you new updated no-propaganda enforced sources... The video you have right here is a speech from 1968. Read the description of the video: "Sgt. Joe Friday delivering a great speech from the episode "The Big Prophet." (1968)"
This is when marijuana was fully ignored by the government and had to push and say anything about it just for it to stay illegal. Why would they do that you think? Well, because alcohol, pharmaceutical and tobacco companies would loose TONS of money if marijuana (or marihuana if that floats your boat) didn't have any "harmful effects".
I don't know what you meant by injected, but marijuana could be : smoked, vaporized and/or eaten.
