WALDPORT — Three men have been charged with beating, raping and nearly burning to death a 17-year-old boy on the Oregon coast.
Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies were called about the badly burned and unconscious victim.
Witnesses said the teenager was attacked after a party got out of hand in the town of Waldport.
Deputies arrested 18-year-old Christopher William Sparks, 19-year-old Cody Christopher Rector, and 20-year-old Robert Abenecu Bernal.
All three are charged with assault, sodomy, unlawful sexual penetration, recklessly endangering and harassment.
The victim is expected to be released Tuesday from Samaritan Pacific Community Hospital in Newport.
