  • Why do you believe the Earth itself is only 6000 years old?

The bible says that the God created the heavens and Earth in the beginning. It gives no indication to how long there was between the Earth and space itself was created before he created light.

    Genesis
    1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
    1 Corinthians 11:3
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

If you trace back the family lines talked about in the Bible it becomes clear that the earth is only a little over 6000 years old.
The Big-Bang: GOD spoke and, BANG, the universe was formed.
Genesis 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Add up the ages of everyone in the Bible from Adam to Jesus.

We know Jesus was born 2011 years ago.

Hence the age of the earth is clear, a lot clearer than what them faggit scientists can ever guess anyway.

Obviously neither of you read the question. I will explain what I mean more simply. I am not talking about the age of life on Earth. I am not talking about how long it has been since people were put on the Earth. I am talking about how old the Earth itself is. It says that the heavens and the Earth were created in the beginning. Then it goes on to describe the creation of light and life ect.

          Six days older than mankind.

          That was easy, wasn't it?

I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

You obviously take a perverse delight in misreading scripture. Allow me to do your work for you in the manner that your mother probably still wipes your ass:

            Creation of heaven and earth
Gen:1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
            Creation of the light
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Gen 2:4These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

So we see that Gen:2:4 confirms the day of original creation of he earth.

That's easy. Genesis 1:1-5 tells us He created the earth on the first day.

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:26-31 tells us He created man on the sixth day.

26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Therefore the earth is only six days older than mankind. Very simple.
