Some people might turn up their noses at this thought, but, it comes from an eminent Doctor, Keith Ablow.

Dr. Ablow, a commentator of the powerhouse, Fox News, points out something many others miss about Newt.

He noted that making a decision of something difficult, and, then delivering the bad news to those hurt by it is the ultimate test of courage and honesty. It is a trait needed to be a great President.

Newt had the courage and honesty to deliver the news to two wives that he no longer loved them and wanted out. We are blessed to have as the emerging representative of our Republican Party, Newt Gingrich.

How about the fact that he is living in sin, in a 'marriage' that God would not recognize as valid, and that he has rejected God for Mary-worship?

Do those make this guy a better President, too?

Ron Paul is the one and only Christian running for the nomination. I don't understand why we aren't supporting him. He's for allowing each state to establish its own Christian theocracy, for crying out loud! Iowa could be first!

As I said in that other thread, it's all part of his brilliant master plan to attract the Idiot Stoner Vote, since they don't care about his plan to declare abortion murder, and allow states to establish Christian theocracies; and to take the money from the 'war on drugs' and invest it into the 'war for souls/against atheism', which will pay dividends in Heaven!

The more I think about it, I don't see why the definition of traditional marriage has to remain forever, "between one man and one woman."

It seems like it could be ammended, as in Newt's case, to "between one man, one woman and his girlfriend."

As long as the addition of a third party is not a gay person, and forgiveness is grated by God, it don't think we should judge too harshly.

He actually believes that the Arabs NOT want to be christened and democratized by means of warfare and destruction. And for some reason is he against huge military camps in Europe and Asia. That's dangerous talk, right there. He's foreign policy is utterly absurd, and: He's not clear on whether homosexuality is a sin!

What would Jesus do though, concerning the question on foreign policy (I'm but a layman scripturally speaking, please bear with me):

Thank you, comrade. Why is the direct quote from Luke more valid as testimony than the one from Matthew? Is there some kind of hierarchy between the different parts of gospel?

Because - to the best of my knowing - God values all parts of the Holy Book equally, all of them should be followed - none ignored.

OK, first they smote (?) Jesus enemies, and then He healed the priest. One can se parallells in how the USA first bombs and terrorizes the population and then rebuilds the land (Halliburton and so furth), institutes democracy or perhaps a Western-friendly regime.

I think the good folks over at the conservative Town Hall bring up an interesting point here. Despite the author being blasé about Jesus and the Bible (KJV1611), we are missing the role of Newt's women in all this. Newt was a victim of the Supreme Court banning prayer in the public schools and the ensuing sexual revolution and the harlots it produced. Sure, "open marriage" was a '70s thing but Newt was seduced by it and was given to a youthful exuberance here. We can all give thanks that at least Newt wasn't engaging in homer sex, diddling pages while he was in congress, and hanging around bathrooms in the Minneapolis airport.

As a Christian, I will neither defend nor excuse Newt’s past adultery. That said, after watching his ex-wife Marianne go off on him on ABC, as a man, I now get why he supposedly wanted an “open marriage.” Holy crikey. That chick is scary! Hell hath no fury like a furry woman. That’s one angry, gangrenous ex-Gingrich chica right there, folks. Let’s see … what do we have here? Lonely and bitter? Table for one?

Now, before I get my inbox stuffed with hate mail labeling me insensitive, calling Newt a cad, and painting Marianne as a damsel in distress, let me state up front that … I know … he was … and oh, please.

Someone help me here. When did Marianne start giving a crap about Gingrich committing adultery? She didn’t mind his “open marriage” policy when she was doing the fig Newton with him while he was married to his first wife, Jackie.

Yep, this is the same Marianne who was spooning Newt while his wife was in the hospital. Oh, I forgot. I’ve transgressed. I cannot blame Marianne for her adultery. Only guys, especially conservative guys, are the villains in an adulterous affair. Women, according to the lame stream media and the loons on the Left, are helpless victims who are not responsible for their wanton ways. Hallelujah. Ain’t that convenient?

Now, Newt, according to his own admission, was a scallywag. But also according to his own admission, he has repented. Is it BS? I don’t know. All I know is that when people verbally repent we’re supposed to forgive them. I believe that’s how the Jesus movie went. And it looked as if lots of South Carolinians were ready to forgive Gingrich judging from the standing ovation they gave him after he horsewhipped John King when he brought up Newt’s past peccadilloes.

Oh, and by the way, I believe according to Christ that if you look at a woman lustfully you’ve committed adultery in your heart in His holy estimation. In other words, we’re all guilty, and Jesus is the only one ever to navigate that tightrope successfully. As Dennis Miller once said, “He that hath an empty hand, let him throw the first stone.”
