Here's some more Bible verses for those of you too squeemish to love your kids the way the Lord Jesus intended:

Proverbs 19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Beating your child will save them from Hell!

Proverbs 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

Praise Jesus. I find a 'rod' made of a 2x4 with a duct-tape handle works wonders. As the child grows older, (about age 3) drill some large holes in the paddle, to enhance the welts. Good parents beat hard and beat often. Glory to Him!

Deuteronomy 21:18-21 is crystal clear that repeatedly disobedient children are to be put death. I haven't read the indictment, but I doubt they are charging him with failure to take him to the elders of Greenville, N.C. to that the group could stone him together. God might frown on that procedural detail, but the punishment principle and the prerogative of the parent were definitely respected by these Christians.

WHEN, of WHEN will Godly parents be allowed to follow Christ's teachings without interference from secular judges???

Actually, we've been through that several times. Do you honestly believe that Our Lord, during His earthly ministry, was literally made out of bread? Does Mother Rome teach that the Pillsbury Doughboy died for your sins? If so, I guess we can add one more to the list of Catholic gods.

Our Lord often spoke in parables during His earthly ministry. How do we know? The words of the Bible tell us that He did.

I've told you at least 3 times to my certain recollection - there are none as blind as those that will not see. You've drunk the wine and chewed the wafer - you know that nothing miraculous happens, you also know that your job depends on your telling lies about it and all because years ago some stupid priest thought that putting in a pretend daily miracle would improve the adherence to the vicar of Rome.

Whereas and by contrast, the advice given about unruly children was genuinely give as social advice and was practised by the Catlick church in its schools until banned by secular law. The Baptist will keep to the Word of God, at least within families where secular law is better designed.

Come on Mr Martin! Admit it; you’re doing it on purpose aren’t you? This is a wind-up! You are disregarding your own intelligence and placing faith in a man – the vicar of Rome – rather than Christ. Always remember,

“A man whose mind is changed against his will
Is of that opinion still.”

Christ simply asks us to think of Him when eating and drinking, which, I suppose, in broad terms, is the origins of saying Grace. Thinking of Christ is undeniably sustenance for the soul.

But to say that miraculously, actually and unambiguously the meat, brain, veins and arteries, skin and sinew, internal organs, eyeballs, hair and toenails, hemoglobin, leucocytes, and plasma of Christ are being consumed by some heathen with a biscuit and a cheap glass of Mexican red is stretching anyone’s faith past breaking point.

Very well put, Brother. If Major Tom's interpretation were correct, what could Our Lord possibly have meant by "the flesh profiteth nothing"? The Romanists make it sound as though the flesh profited everything, and then they have the nerve to quote Christ's words to the exact opposite.
