What does the bible say about hippies?

I'm just curious what the bible says about hippies? It seems as if though you pity them in some way.

Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

1 Corinthians 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

There's a lot more, but that should do for starters.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

What makes you think Christ wants anything to do with a bunch of long haired, social dropouts?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

There is obviously Biblical justification for having long hair and a beard.

There are many mentions of the saints' beards in both testaments.

Samson was rendered weak when delilah shaved his head, but when it grew again he could knock buildings over. You notice how Jesus and all the disciples are portrayed with long hair and beards.

Luk 21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

Act 27:34 Wherefore I pray you to take [some] meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you.

Yes, by the blaspheming Catholics! Samson was allowed long hair because that was in OT times, and long hair wasn't pronounced abominable until NT times. And can you find any biblical justification for prancing around pretending to be a drunk injun, chewing those peyote mushrooms and praying to Buddha for Viet Cong victory?

Re: What does the bible say about hippies?

The initial idiotic question was about hippies and what the Bible says about them, not just long haired men. It is a common misconception that men with long hair are actual hippies. In fact, most of them are nancyboys.

The hippie movement died out many many years ago, and its members were famous for long stringy unwashed hair (on both men and women), no morality of any kind, refusal of gainful employment, constant and public displays of sexual excess, refusal to bathe under any circumstances, the constant use of narcotics, the wearing of bizarre and mismatched garments, the willful butchering of the American language by inserting common gutter nigra slang whenever possible, the mindless opposition to all things normal (governmental authority, police authority, parental authority, brand loyalty, economic subservience), an addiction to extremely loud music with jungle rhythms and fantasy lyrics, the mindless support of any and every hair-brained cause imaginable (special rights for nigras, reduction of the voting and drinking age to 18, elimination of the Mann act, legalized mongrelization of the races), and most of all the complete rejection of Jesus.

The sad misfits who pass for hippies today are but a shadow of the original tribe of smelly scum. They are nothing more than pathetic wanna-bees who cling to an outdated image that they only vaguely understand. They are very sad losers, and often drift into the emo/goth/homer movements out of desperation. The bulk of the false Christian movement derives from leftover hippies, still tantruming and demanding everything on their spoiled brat terms.

The simple answer to the simple-minded question is that on course Jesus does not approve of such disgusting has-beens, any more than He would endorse drunk injuns or transvestite homers. The Holy Bible tells us to avoid such trash, and stick with the Lord God who created us.
