I find this accusation to be offensive! Jesus was born white as snow! Like Miss Talitha said, maybe the sun might have given his skin a caramel tan later in life but he was born lily-white! To suggest that he was born of an inferior race, well, the bible clearly shows darker races to be destined slaves of the white people. Are you suggesting our Lord was born to a lowly slave?

There is no accusation implied. There is virtually no non-Biblical information about the man Jesus of Nazareth, and no one knows what he looked like or what color of skin he had. Darkskinned people have not always been destined to become slaves to white-skinned races; historically it depends on what countries and what races.

Mainstream church reply:

There is no accusation implied. Jesus of Nazareth was Jewish, and from birth probably had dark hair, brown eyes, and the caramel-tan complexion of most Hebrews of the Middle East. To suggest that he was born of an inferior race destined to become slaves has no historical basis.
