You have to understand that he is Finn. He has no idea of the dualistic meaning of the word Logic as formal system to study new things and the common language form that has just the meaning of using information to decide next action.

Same thing with rational thinking. The way we are now referring to it is the "scientific thinking". The problem with the scientific thinking is the fact that it has defined so called Laws of nature that describe our surrounding environment and phenomenons - which in many cases gives us quite precise predictions - but fails in deeper observation just because they fail to take in count the All Mighty God and His power over everything. So we now have things like theory of gravity that in this moment gives us good approximation of speed of atheist hitting the ground after jumping from building. Problem is that if God decides, He can change the rules in any moment, like he has done with rules how long people live. Scientists say that you cannot change something like gravity without everything else failing but they lack the understanding of God. He can do ANYTHING.

That is why rational thinking fails. We try to rationalize things using these rules that actually don't apply. Same with the "logic". It is not logical to someone turn to pillar of salt. Our "scientists" say that it is not rational. But hey, tell that to Lot's wife

If reading didn’t require logic then we would instantly know how to read and the only thing we would have to do is to learn the meaning of the words. Is this how it is in real life? No. No one just knows how to read or how to ride a bike, we all have to learn how to do so.
When you teach someone how to read, what do you start with? The alphabet and how every letter is pronounced. Then the person slowly read words by saying how every letter is pronounced and then interpret it to which word it is. and THEN give the word a meaning.

But when you have practised this for a while it goes faster and you don't really think about what you are doing, same thing with riding a bike and everything else. When you practise something, you become better at it.

And by the way, you're using lodgic to come up with your arguments

Your arguments are fine, as long as you accept that reading requires logic - I don't think it does - all it is, is learning words.

I suggest you think of riding a bicycle - theoretically this requires logic - in practice, you do it unconsciously.

These thoughts are the antithesis of Faith. Faith is beautiful, it actually demands that you do not have to work your mind to distraction.

The alternative is as that stinking Frog atheist, Jean Paul Sartre, described in "Nausea" or "Being and Nothingness" - desolate, depressing scribblings of Satan.

You can't worship God without rational thinking . If you want to worship God you must know what he says, and to know that you have to read. Reading is a very logical thing. You first have to see the symbols, then you give them a sound and then you have to interpret that sound to a word that you then give a meaning. Then all that’s left is to put the words together and form a sentence.

Reading the bible = using logic and rational thinking = God hates you = you'll go to hell

More you post, more insecure you are. You start to wonder that maybe you are wrong and you start to fear God. But satan is still too strong and makes you too proud to apologize. So you become more rude and you laugh outside but cry inside. After few more posts, you just stop posting and never visit us again. Then one day you die and burn in Hell.

Well logic and rational thinking don't enter to the equation where the Bible is concerned. These people from Landover Baptist Church follow the Bible to the letter so therefore it's useless to make an argument with them based on logic or rational thinking. It quite simply isn't possible.
