Brethren & Sistren, let's consider one of the greatest (and most overlooked) miracles in the Bible - the 4th commandment.
The 10 commandments are listed twice in the Bible:
Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Deuteronomy 5:12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
It would appear there's a small contradiction: What were God's actual words? Did He say "remember" or "Keep". Only one of them can be true; He can't have it both ways. Or can He?
Of course, He can. There's not a thing God cannot do.
Ancient Rabbinic literature has decided that God spake both words simultaneously, or in Rashi's words, "The words “remember (זָכוֹר)” and “keep (שָׁמוֹר)” (Deut. 5:12) were pronounced with one utterance." (link)
"With one utterance"!! This means that God spake the two words at once. Exodus and Deuteronomy are both true. Or as the Bible phrases it:
Psalm 62:11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
There's a message here for all the scoffers, Catholics, wickers and atheists, who plague this board: Whenever you ERRONEOUSLY think you have found a contradiction in the Bible - you have only proved the omnipotence of God. That power belongeth unto God!
