Jesus can love True Christians™ yet still be our Master.

He can be a friend to us (that is, take care of us and do good for us), but that doesn't mean He is a "friend" in the modern sense of a "BFF"--that is, someone equal to you.

See the difference?

Jesus isn't our pal.

You may be very friendly with your boss, might even hang out after work. But your boss can still fire you.

Similarly, you can be very friendly with Jesus, but He can still FIRE you.
