Re: Top Ten Questions to Ask Your Atheist Science Teacher!

Hundreds of years? Are we talking about genes now? Or evolution? Neither is hundreds of years old. Evolution comes closest though, so I'll assume you're talking about that. Evolution is not proven. No scientist has ever managed to turn a monkey (or an ape if you want to be nitpicking) into a human. They have not even managed to turn a worm into a fish.

The King James 1611 Bible has been proven correct for far longer than any scientific theory. Why don't you believe in the Bible? God created you. God created the world you live on. God created everything around you. Why don't you do your part to pay him back and trust Him?

My posting of the word default is a grammatical mistake. I meant to post defect, but this board has no visible edit post option.

How can you ignore science that has been proven for hundreds of years?

Just one post earlier it was a genetic default, now it's a "defect"... Wasn't your previous scientific theory not good enough?

This gets so tiring, every time we disprove evilution you change it around and we have to start all over again. When will you accept that you're wrong?

The Bible has not changed for thousands of years, it is as true as when it was first dictated by God. On the other hand science changes every day, it even prides itself on the belief that it probably is wrong and could be changed at any moment. How can you trust science when science does not even trust itself?

Unfortunately, many Christian kids buy into the lies their atheist teachers tell them and start to question their faith. Instead of questioning the reality of seven-day creation or God stopping the sun from revolving around the Earth, question your science teacher instead! Here are ten surefire questions that will leave your teacher stumped!
    1. If humans evolved from chimpanzees, why are chimpanzees still around?
    2. The Big Bang Theory proposes that everything in the Universe started from something called singularity which is smaller than an atom. How can you stuff everything in the universe in that? It's hard enough to stuff four suitcases in the trunk of your car!
    3. If the earth really revolves around the sun, then why when we look at the sun we can see it plainly revolving around the earth? (And if the earth was moving around the sun, wouldn't we all fly off into space?)
    4. If women were not created from Adam's rib, why is it that men have one fewer rib than women?
    5. How do scientists know stars are "millions of light years away"? Have they been there and back? Do they have a tape measure that stretchs that long?
    6. Scientists say all our genetic information is coded on DNA. But DNA is an acid! How can you write information in acid? You can write information on a hard drive, but not a liquid!
    7. People have been wearing clothes for thousands of years. Why haven't our bodies evolved natural clothes that come out of our skin then?
    8. If there really are millions and millions of species, then how could have Adam named them all? Obviously, there's not that many species then! (Gen 2:18-22)
    9. If our brains are just a mishmash of biochemistry, how come chemicals like gasoline or bug spray can't think?
    10. Einstein said that if you approach the speed of light, time slows down. Once you hit the speed of light, time stops. If that is so, how come light can travel from point A to point B if time is stopped for light?
Don't let your science teacher weasel out of these questions! If he makes some stupid comments like "Well that question is meaningless" or "Evolution doesn't work that way" or "You have a poor understanding of science", don't let him get away with it! He is only trying to buy time because he know he can't answer your questions. Press him and make him answer your questions. That's what a teacher is for...right?
    Quoted from the OP.

He states all men have one less rib.

Did you dissect Adam himself? I don't remember anywhere in the Bible where it says and all men after will be missing a rib as well.

So genes cause you to have fewer ribs.

Don't women have different genes than men? That XX gene, isn't it the default gene for women? It must be the genetic default you are talking about, so there's the reason why women have a rib fewer than men.

And what is that link supposed to prove? That you can find idiots on the internet who believe in an unproven theory? You really shouldn't have bothered, I already know there are plenty of idiots out there.

The bible was written by men, not by god. For all people know, the bible might have been written by scribes with severe schizophrenia. I'm a Christian, and I believe in god, but just because the bibles says something, that does not make it true.

For example, if you were to dissect a male and female corpse, both of the bodies would have an equal amount of ribs. ( That is to say, 12 )

You seem new to this place and also a fellow scientist. A friendly bit of advice, just relax and observe. You will experience many startling things that are fascinating from a scientific point of view.

You obviously live (or lived) in Texas, and that is fertile ground for Baptists and other fundamentalist Christian sects. The total lack of genetic diversity and for that matter education beyond the 8th grade level which is typical among these sects is considered normal there.

The governor of Texas is indeed a shining example of severe inbreeding and the effects that has on the human genome. I envy you if you are there, I am stuck here in Iowa doing my research project I began upon arriving.

So that is your entire argument; we evolved from apes, who evolved from some magical fish who in turn came from some magical mud.

No friend, Genesis has it right, we were created of dust. That is just degrading to say we came from mud.

DNA and evolution just don't add up and I don't understand why the schools won't see that.

The atheists have made their minds up that we're all ignorant inbred hicks who don't know anything. I mean after all if we were as smart as them, we'd spend all of our day playing World of Warcraft as well, wouldn't we?

There are people on this board with PhD's. People with degrees from Ivy League schools. I personally have a bachelors in science and in business administration (accounting). My husband has a MBA and an engineering degree.

But the atheists keep coming here and calling us stupid. Another thing you will notice is that none of them ever claim to have a regular job. We have never been visited by an atheist janitor. No, they all work for NASA or SETI or some other big name that they've heard of. Then they start rambling on about stuff that shows they don't have a high school grasp of basic science.
