Tax Credits For Those Who Homeschool?

People who home school their children produce better citizens.

They place no strain on public school systems and their resources.

They place less strain on other publicly funded resources such as police, fire and social services since home schooled children never get arrested, do not set or catch on fire and never require placement in foster homes since home schooled kids, by definition, have homes.

Should not people who home school their children be able to take back all the taxes that they pay that go into the public school system and give it to their own church or private militias?

Barring that, shouldn't they at least be allowed to choose to direct their tax dollars to our military or the government offices that they support?

It is time that parents who go through the trouble of teaching their own children with their own church approved text books get a break.

Well, on a federal level, the only way you'd be able to get tax credits for homeschooling your children is if they have some sort of special needs (e.g. down syndrome, severe autism, etc..).
There are tax credits on the state level for any parent who are homeschooling their children, special needs or not. However, these tax credits are not available in all states. You'd have to check to see if Iowa is part of this or not.

I hope this helped at least a little bit.
Here's a LINK that I found that could help more, if need be.

Actually, homeschooling can net positive gains.

It is all how you set it up. My kids are home schooled and we run a satellite home schooling project for the illegitimate nigra and messsican children of the field workers. See, what I did was create a not for profit company that makes financial gifts to the students. These funds are used to pay the teachers (the Hutchins kids) and maintenance staff (Mrs. Hutchins). As CEO, I get my normal salary of $400K from it. Any funds left over after a year are used to pay for the graduation glass of punch. The money I donate to the company is a tax deduction for me. Of course, all the field workers donate with little pressure from me to fund the school. We have a state of the art classroom for the Hutchins kids and new paper every year for the satellite school. Out of the $200K I donate every year, I get a return of about $700K (including my salary).

Sister Handy, people who don't have children have to pay property taxes, the bulk of which goes to the local school district.

Why should I, or other bachelors, or people whose children have grown up, have to pay for the schooling of those who choose to have children?

You make an excellent point, sir. The rejoinder to this argument has been that one is not paying such taxes merely to educate one's own children, but rather to educate the future citizens with whom you will share your community.

The idea behind this, I think, is that one's plumber and one's policeforce and one's neighbors of tomorrow all require the educational and social grounding to be contributing citizens in a democratic nation. We all contribute towards this effort, even if we have no children, or else we end up with grunting knucklewalkers who are barely competent to take on the roles of society.

I, for one, think that this effort is too late. The knucklewalkers are even now being herded to the voting booths by clever polticians bent on protecting their own interests.

Of course, the only good politicians have God's interests in mind foremost.

Why is there any question: were do taxes go? To PUBLIC schools!!!

Public schools are nothing more than attempts by the left to rape the minds of innocent LITTLE children, our most PRECIOUS resource, by teaching them science. We pay taxes (as in have our hard earned wealth CONFISCATED) we are giving it to CHILD MOLESTERS!!!

Homeschooling isn't enough. America will never be safe until ALL of our kids are home schooled in Baptist approved institutions and ALL public teachers IMPRISONED for their CRIMES!

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Re: Tax Credits For Those Who Homeschool?

I, for one, think it is probably unconstitutional to have to pay taxes for so-called "public schools" that are really just forced atheist indoctrination facilities. They hire communists and atheists to drill their lies into America's children on a daily basis, sowing the seeds of Godlessness for their upcoming harvest festival of debauchery and sin.

              Jesus, please come soon!
