    Silly Catholics Allow Academic Freedom

Catholic bigwigs are all upset about a book one of their professors wrote about sexuality.

I haven't read the book or care one twit about it. It's just amusing that a Catholic university allowed a book to be written that chruch officials disapprove of.

How could this happen? "We protect academic freedom," says the University person.

We can all be proud that at Landover Baptist University, there is no academic freedom.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Where is academic freedom mentioned in Scripture?

ETA: Oh, wait. Did I just ask how Romanists justify themselves Biblically? Sometimes I crack myself up.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Re: Silly Catholics Allow Academic Freedom

U.S. Catholic bishops’ doctrine committee today denounced a book on sexuality written by two Nebraska theologians — one with Minnesota ties.

The book, The Sexual Person: Toward a Renewed Catholic Anthropology, was co-authored by Michael Lawler and Todd Salzman and published by Georgetown University Press in 2008.

Lawler has published at least three books with Liturgical Press, an arm of St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minn. Two of those books were about marriage; the other was about the church. None of the books ran afoul of the bishops.

In denouncing The Sexual Person, the doctrine committee said the theologians erroneously “argue for the moral legitimacy of some homosexual acts.”
We can only assume the Bishops were outraged over the advocacy of homosexuality between consenting and adult laity. I suppose these old men of the Catholic church still think sex is only between only priest and one child and the laity are supposed to run cover while repeating "I am not good enough to judge".

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.
