First off, how do you know you're flying in a straight line? You look at your compass, right? In the picture below, let's say you start flying due west. If you could see that far, you'd see the North Pole out the right hand windows of your plane. If you keep the North Pole out the right hand windows of your plane (so you keep going due west), where would you end up? Right back where you started. So that DOES NOT prove that the Earth is spherical.
Second, let's assume that the Earth is spherical. If you flew 25,000 miles IN A STRAIGHT LINE, you'd be in outer space, not back where you started.
What are they teaching kids in Catholic schools these days?

Re: Why Roman Catholic Papists Are NOT Christians
Lord, another wafer munching ring kissing catholic that believes they are Christian.
Is this not a catholic prayer?
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
I rest my case, you are NOT Christian. You are a filthy Mary worshiper in a cult that encourages pedophilia

Haven't you ever seen a globe.
Why is your cult the only people on the round planet who don't accept its shape.
When your children ask you if they can see what the earth looks like from space, do you hand them a world map, and hastily toss globes into a bonfire to hide them from the modern truth?

It says that Jesus and Satan, went on a mountain, and saw kingdoms.
Despite this, even if you believe with all your heart that it means the earth is flat, you must be torn by the obvious examples provided suggesting its objective roundness. You can keep shoving this isolated bible verse in my face, but your baptist delusions invoke pity rather than any sense that the earth could be a frisbee spinning through space.
I do feel proud to deny your demented interpretation of the bible.
I feel like I am being punked here.
You said that the Bible could be wrong. How, then, do you know anything reliable about Jesus? Also, since you think that the Catholic institution gave us the Bible, aren't you saying that the Catholic institution failed what would have to be its most important task?

"What is the conclusion? Heliocentrism cannot be taught as a certainty. It is only a hypothesis, and a hypothesis can either be a possibly true explanation, or an avowedly false one. Science has not proven either geocentrism or heliocentrism, but the Scriptures, the Apostolic Tradition, and the Magisterium of the Church support the geocentric position."

Cindy Lou, I quite frankly need to tell you that I do not agree with Matthews vaguely interpreted verse. I challenge you to go to the nearest supermarket, and preach about the flatness of the earth. People will throw so much food at you, that you will be able to feed your family for months.
The earth is round everybody, the bible may be in this case, dead ass wrong.
The gospels are true. The clue is in the name,

Most geocentrists also believe that the earth stands still, and […]
"In fact, the Church has other dogmatic, infallible teachings such as the Immaculate Conception of Mary with less Scriptural, papal, patristic and medieval support than geocentrism. The Church has also not annulled her condemnations of heliocentrism. Those who hold the geocentric view believe that God made the earth the spiritual and material center of the universe for the Incarnation of His only-begotten Son, where Jesus’ sacrifice is perpetually offered “from the rising of the sun to its setting” (Mal. 1:11), and where Jesus dwells in His Eucharistic presence under the appearance of bread and wine.
It is, therefore, consistent with Catholic teaching to believe that Jesus Christ, the God-man, has united divinity with humanity at the center of the universe which is earth. On a more basic level, if the earth is the center of the universe, then this means that someone (God) put it there. Given the dynamics of the universe, the relative positions of the heavenly bodies, and the size of the earth, it would be impossible for the earth to be the center of the universe unless a divine agent worked out all the details."
