Jesus was middle-easrtern and a jewish, if that changes how you feel about him then you were never really a christian. I'm white and was raised baptist, and could less what he looked like, he died for mans' sins, that is a pretty big check.

Let's see what The Bible says.

Acts 1:6-9 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. KJV

"Taken up" does not mean he fell in the pond or suddenly moved sideways. It means up; like this:

Now we know there is a certain type of person who'd imagine that cloud to de a disgiused, low altitude flying saucer but The Bible says "cloud" so we know that is was a cloud because when the disciples saw something they didn't understand The Bible records their amazement, for example here:

Acts 2:12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? KJV

So we know where Jesus is now.

Similarly with His descent. The Bible is exceedingly clear on just this point (I won't post the whole text) HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and in many other places.

Perhaps because they had seen him before? Or when he arrived in a place people spread the word that he was in town? Because he had an entourage and stood out as the ringleader? There are plenty of explanations.

Nothing you have posted indicates these individuals had never seen Jesus beforehand nor is there any indication his physical appearance was out of the ordinary.
