If you believe that God and Jesus are good men, then what is wrong in becoming a Christian.

If you believe that Jesus existed then you would have to believe in God. Jesus is the Son of God.

My reply. Jesus exist today, because approx. 2 million spanish, portugese and brazil people are named jesus. Somebody 2010 years ago was names jesus. I believe he was a remarkable person, but not one single bit supernatural as being the son of God, or God himself.

How he was remarkable, was being nice and helping people.

To enhance Billy Bob here Harry Potter is a fully fictional character. Even the setting is absurd; England. There is no such place in real life with people driving on the wrong side of the road and drinking warm beer.

Christ however did live in 1st Century Judah. That was a very real place. So how can you just say "oh that part is fiction"?

so how can you believe that god created you. how do we know we're alive? what if we are just living in purgatory right now? who's to say, because that authority does not lie within any of you landover baptists; for all you know, we could all just be in purgatory. i think that you, sir, should take a step back and reevaluate your life. what if you've lived your life the wrong way, and slandered the good name of many men and discriminated based on race and gender for no reason. the old testament that you hold so dear is just that, OLD. jesus came not to replace the old testament, but to supplement it. the new testament's teachings are those that should be followed. and i do believe that the new testament contains the law of love: love ones neighbor as oneself and as god has loved you. (put simply, of course) i do not believe that calling names qualifies as loving one's neighbor, but by all means, correct me if i am wrong; do not, however, tell me that it is 'tough love', because that, my friends, is a total lie. i have read many posts on here and know that you consider the death of a homosexual man "the only positive choice" he has made, which is a sin not only against the law of love as set down by jesus, but also against the fifth commandment.

i am not a bible thumping christian and do not believe in a fluffy bunny god as you so eloquently put it, but i do believe that Jesus said to love one's neighbor as God loved you. does God call you queer for your differences sir? does he go around punishing you for every difference you may have?
