Ge:7:11: In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
Ge:8:2: The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
Who cannot remember those immortal words that announced the beginning and the end of the flood?
And yet there are those who would have us believe that “The Flood” was no more than a folk-tale told by the fires of nomadic peasants as the roasted their bdellium and myrrh.
The Catholics gave up believing in The Flood, but we Baptists had faith – faith that can move mountains, faith in the infallible Word of God.
The atheist laughs at such things and claims “Where are these “Fountains of the Deep", then?” and “Why didn’t the Egyptians get their feet wet and mention it in their funny picture-writing?”
Well, the point is that the Egyptians were pretty bad at recording things – half of the stuff is just garbage and the other reason is that if you are being flooded to death, there aren’t many people willing to take the time to write out the story.
However, you tell an atheist that and he’ll laugh at you.

The Fountains of the Deep have been discovered! It’s all there, just as God says:
The case is clear. The fountains of the Deep are there. The High-Priests of Atheism have admitted it! Nobody except God and Moses knew this for sure and because they did not know it – atheists thought that it could not be true.
They think God is not there – and their logic is exactly the same - because they have not proven it.
Friends, I know that you will still be despondent and think that the atheists and Catholics still will come up with some stupid apologist text trying to explain this, and/or denying what their colleagues have found, and/or dispute the facts, but you will know different.
This evening, have a glass of cold water and give praise to Him Who has once again restored any weaknesses in our faith.

The world’s oldest water, which is locked deep within the Earth’s crust, just got even older. The liquid was discovered deep down in a mine in Canada in 2013 and is about 5,500 years old.
But now, at the same site, University of Toronto scientists have found a deeper source of water that is at least 500 years more ancient.
The work was presented at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting in San Francisco.
Professor Barbara Sherwood Lollar, who led the team that made the discovery, told BBC News: “When people think about this water they assume it must be some tiny amount of water trapped within the rock.
“But in fact it’s very much bubbling right up out at you. These things are flowing at rates of litres per minute - the volume of the water is much larger than anyone anticipated.”
The first pool of ancient water was discovered 2.4km-down in a copper, zinc and silver mine.
“It really pushed back our understanding of how old flowing water could be and so it really drove us to explore further,” said Prof Sherwood Lollar.
“And we took advantage of the fact that the mine is continuing to explore deeper and deeper into the earth.”
This new investigation led by Dr Oliver Warr, from the University of Toronto, found water at a depth of nearly 3km. And tests have revealed that it is at least 6,000 years old.
