Well, I don't know about that. I've heard some scientifical types say that it is caused by jeans. Now that just does not make much sense, but maybe if the jeans are too tight it cuts off circulation and turns you into one of those castrati type homers. The Large Hadron Collide (LHC) has already been tested numerous times. Each time we have learned more about the beginning of the universe and its birth. Yes there is a chance that it will create a black hole when used, but it has not yet and the probability is very slim. I have never found a plausible alternative to the model of the atom (neutrons, protons, and electrons). Electrons are responsible for electricity, so I'm sure they exist, as sure as I am electricity exists. If it weren't for protons, electrons wouldn't have a reason to stay on atoms, making conductivity impossible. I see that some metals conduct electricity, so I conclude that protons exist.

If you use a very powerful microscope you can see molecules too. And why do scientist know certain things? Because they investigate them and repeat their findings and tests over and over again to show they are reproducible, only when the tests can be reproduced they are valid. Saying that something is not real because you can't see them is plain dumb, there are dozens of things you can't see while there are all around us, just think about radiowaves or radioactivity, both are invisible but still you can hear radiowaves on the radio every day if you want and you can get sick and die if the level of radioactivity is to high.
