Well the earth works differently from the microwave ovens. Microwave ovens take microwaves and rapidly bounce them off of metal walls however the earth isn't surrounded by metal walls. Allow the microwaves to escape after hitting the earth's crust, which has lot's of metal ore in it.

A microwave oven does not use radiant heat to cook, friend.

When you reach into a microwave oven to retrieve a cooked potato, the temperature inside is not very warm at all.

Yes, Microwave ovens cooks in a small enclosed space. It works by rapidly pushing the waves through the food then bouncing them back. While the microwaves pushes through air molecules as well, air molecules are not compacted like the molecules of a potato therefor the air does not maintain it's heat for long and when you open the microwave door most of the left over hot air rises out of the oven and cools. The Sun produces many more microwaves however, they are not contained so they are constantly bounced back into space. But we get enough to heat the air to that 59 average. As far as getting hotter and colder during summer and winter That has to do with the concentration of the Suns microwaves due to the natural tilt to the earth.

You obviously don't understand microwaves. I spend quite a lot of time in æroplanes. Most of the air we fly through is about –57°C

As Rev. Osborne has explained, the sky is a barrier to hold back the waters above the firmament. The stars are attached to it. The sun moves across it. God is seated just above them watching what we do. It is a long way down, and we look quite small — about ½-1"

You said that the sun is a microwave but when you decribe what you said, it does not make any sense. You should get your facts straight. For your info; Mankind has already walked on the surface of the moon, which is A LOT closer to earth than the sun is. The moon is atleast 220 THOUSAND miles away from us, yet you say the sun is only 500 miles away?

How do you know that man walked on the moon? Were you there? No? Somebody just told you and you took it on faith? You saw a grainy video that you don't know whether it was filmed on the moon or filmed in a studio? It appeared to show you what you wanted to believe, so you didn't care whether it was actually true.

For that matter, how do you know the moon is 220 thousand miles away? You don't. Someone told you that's how far away it is, and you believed it on faith. Have you measured it personally? We have, measuring the angle of the moon from multiple places on the ground, and using trigonometry to calculate the distance. Have you done that? Would you even know how?
