I've never personally met anyone who has gone around the world. When I travel to Europe, I go east. When I travel to Asia, I go west. I don't know anyone who has "circumnavigated" the "globe". Do you?

Just like I've never met anyone who has been to the moon.

Without firsthand knowledge, how am I to know for sure.

Friend, that's where BELIEF comes in. I can either believe the television news, newspapers, the internet, or radio news when they tell me someone has gone around the world; or I can believe the Bible (KJV1611).

Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

The Bible hasn't lied to me yet, but the news sure has.

Imagine you are standing on a merry-go round, you would get dizzy from all the spinning. If you were on the merry-go-round from birth though, you would be use to the spinning and wouldn't notice it. But then the merry-go round starts spinning in the other direction, you would get twice as dizzy and disoriented!

Now, since you've been on Earth your whole life you don't notice the alleged spinning. But if you went to the other hemisphere, you'd be spinning in the opposite direction than you have your whole life, so you would get dizzy, nauseous, even unable to stand. Since this doesn't happen the world must not spin, so the Sun must revolve around the Earth!
