But if the Earth was just a bit over 6000 years in age? Wouldn't that imply that the Universe is also around the same age, give or take a day.
If that is the case, why is the envelope of causality for the observable universe closer to 14 billion light years rather than 6012 light years? The former implies an age of the universe in the range of billions of light years, while the latter would be expected if the Young Earth theory were factual.
