Don't be silly, there was no incest. Have any of you ever heard of "spontaneous generation"? The conditions were right in the Land of Nod for Cain to have a wife, so a wife, who was not his sister, for him spontaneously came into being. Genesis 1: 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 5: 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Adam is all of humanity and not just a singular personage. Eve refers to all the women. Cain and Abel refer to two types of people. The Bible is highly allegorical.

Genesis 3: 20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
