  • Science is the true way

Why shouldn't everything have a naturalistic explanation? Science has been dispelling supernatural ideas for centuries - it won't stop now.

In any event, there is no evidence of anything supernatural in our universe so the natural explanation is far more likely in any observation of phenomena we make.

Science provides the single explanation. Your ideas provide two assumptions: One, that something is supernatural and two, that it just happens to be your god and not Shiva, Odin, Allah, Zoroaster, etc.

Science provides us with real and tangible truths about our universe.

May the call of Jihad be forever outshined, outmatched, and outlasted by the The LORD's Crusade, to the end of eternity and the extinction of mortal flesh. Let those who march against it in His name be as giants - pure of heart, strong of body, honored, invulnerable. May those warriors be burning stars in the firmament of battle, angels of death on shining wings, bringing swift annihilation to the enemies of CHRIST. Amen.

Like what? That the earth in 45 billion years old? That men are descendants of sea worms? Come on, Secularist science is a joke. If we are descendants of sea worms then why are there still worms? Does it look like I speak threw a gill?

No friend, you have a clear materialistic bias. You insist on clinging to naturalism in the face of mountains of evidence in The Bible. Stop being so close minded.

Science is a way to understand the world that God gave us. Scientists aren't trying to debunk the Bible, they're trying to better understand the world we live in. God made us all naturally curious, it would be insulting to Him if we didn't indulge that fact.
Romans 13:8-10: Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law...if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Do I need to? Isn't it blatantly obvious? EVERY human being is naturally inquisitive about almost everything.

As long as you claim to be a Christian, yes.

Lots of things that are "blatantly obvious" to the modern secular outlook are wrong.

That doesn't mean that God made us that way. Ever hear of the fall of man?

Science is the TRUE WAY TO HELL!

If I gave you all the parts to a motorcycle in a giant bag and told you to shake them until they came together to make a running motorcycle you couldn't do it!

You would have to put them together with your hands. A living, THINKING being has to ENGINEER it. The Universe it not run by happen stance! A loving thoughtful creator had to design and engineer us and our Universe. Dummy.

                    Enjoy HELL.

If you put all the parts of a motorcycle in a bag and shook it for billions of years, i would wager eventually you would get something vaguely motorcycle-like in the end. Just like how eons of time allowed for simple primordial elements to combine into the complex proteins and compounds that organic matter is made of. The chances of shaking motorcycle parts into the shape of a motorcycle over millions of years is probably somewhere near the same odds of carbon nitrogen and other elements organizing themselves into living things around us today. The only difference is that environmental factors cant cause your motorcycle parts to line up in ways that better enable it to run. To be honest the chance of a person shaking a bag of parts into a motorcycle makes more sense to me personally than an invisible wizard snapping his fingers and causing a motorcycle to appear from mid-air.

Really? That's one of the most ignorant statements I have ever read on the internets.
                        Its sheer stupidity is amazing.

If I'm reading this correctly, your contention is that by shaking random parts you have a better chance of making a motorcycle than by a skilled blacksmith or creator doing the same thing.

This is stupid even by atheist standards.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

And so you are arguing that motorcycles just create themselves then?

Show me this mystical place where motorcycles magically assemble themselves out of random parts.

I think you've been watching too many movies about transforming robots. Put them out of your mind and pray to GOD for forgiveness. Maybe He will take pity and bestow you with some sense.

Oh of course motorcycles procreate, why my brother put a Harley and a Kawasaki into winter storage. When he went back this spring, there it was! A little Vespa parked between the two.

Motorcycles lack the necessary gametes and genetic structure to procreate, but the point I was trying to get across is that if you spent billions of years shaking a bag of parts, yes, they would randomly assemble into a motorcycle. By random chance we were created, probability runs everything and given the amount of time I am talking about, anything could happen. The fact of the matter is a motorcycle and an organic living creature are two COMPLETELY different things. The theory of evolution describes survival of the fittest, genetic advantages leading towards specific members of a species having an increased chance to spread their genes. Motorcycles were engineered by people, organic matter was engineered by time and fortune.
