You guys are missing the whole point of the Bible. The stories are supposed to teach you a lesson on how to live your life, not to be taken literally. It's as if I told you a story where a cat and a dog were arguing with each other, and they worked through their argument by listening to each other, and you just ran around saying cats and dogs must be able to talk because they can talk in the story. Look deeper into the stories.

You do realize that people travel into space right? That there is physical proof (meaning not by word of mouth) that the earth is ROUND

But then again there is NO physical proof God or Jesus exist (except a book of course)

Good morning everyone. I am astounded to find that there are still people whose minds are set in dark ages! Honestly, I didn't want to believe that you are all serious, but it certainly seems so. Not believing in gravity or roundness of the Earth is just like not believing in Sun - everybody observes it and its consequences every day. Only the most retarded would neglect its existence.

Here are some experiments (or just simple statements that are indisputably true) everyone can try, that prove, without a doubt that Earth is indeed spherical in shape:
- The existence of the horizon. It would not exist on a flat plane.
- Watch a ship sailing beyond the horizon. The first part that disappears is the body, then the mast. This is because of Earth's shape.
- People over history used the Earth's spherical shape to their advantage. Russians colonized Alaska from its east, they didn't travel all the way from the west.
- Satellites orbit around the Earth. Anyone who owns a GPS knows for a fact that it couldn't have been used if Earth was a flat plane.

If you want further proof, please ask me, but first, disprove those undoubtebly true statements that only a fool would try to rebut.

Now that we have access to space, the easiest way to prove the Earth is spherical is to leave it and view it from a distance. Astronauts and space probes have done just that. Every picture of Earth ever taken shows only a circular shape, and the only geometric solid which looks like a circle from any direction is a sphere.

One of the oldest proofs of the Earth's shape, however, can be seen from the ground and occurs during every lunar eclipse. The geometry of a lunar eclipse has been known since ancient Greece. When a full Moon occurs in the plane of Earth's orbit, the Moon slowly moves through Earth's shadow. Every time that shadow is seen, its edge is round. Once again, the only solid that always projects a round shadow is a sphere.
