To everyone in this thread. I am deeply sorry for being off-topic. I would like to however, have a clean start and discuss the nature of these three experiments. I have been told to view the thread and find out how my points were refuted. However, the thread is over 200 pages long and I believe I would have difficulties finding the posts that some people are trying to refer me to. I ask kindly if you can either link me the posts, quote them or just restate them for me. Thank you.

No, I haven't. The joke was that you can't give me an object with a mass of 6*10^22 times my weight. You'd have to give me a planet, and you can't. The joke was NOT that gravity is false.

I have noticed several debates on this particular subject here. To all you godless atheists out there, let's settle this once and for all...

In the modern world it has become a widely spread lie that the earth is round. Of course, this is impossible. If the earth is round, then why don't people just fall off at the bottom?

The answer is simple: The Earth is not round!

Now, if we take a look at some scripture, it clearly tells us the earth is not round but flat:

Jeremiah 16:19:
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

According to Jeremiah 16:19, the earth has ends. There is no way a spherical earth could have ends, and therefore the earth must be flat. The Book of Revelation tells a similar story:

Revelation 7:1:
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

A spherical earth cannot have corners, it is scientifically impossible. The only logical explanation is that the earth is flat. Checkmate atheists!

Isaiah 40:22:
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Dont you think you maybe taking this a little to literally? Back when it was written the "Ends of the Earth" may not have been far but to those back then such distances would seem a lot further. Also regarding the four corners.. It is probably once again taken too literally. And regarding you last quote, Sphere would not have been a word and circle would have been in it's place.

The meanings is taken literally because that is the way the Bible is supposed to be read. Since there is a word for sphere, they would have used it.

The earth is about 6,000 years old.

I think I miss understand you, but in case I'm not, I will answer anyway.
There is indeed gravity on the moon and on mars. You can see the effect of the moons gravity everyday. All you have to do is watch the ocean. The tidal wave is primarily caused by the moon, but some are also due to the sun.
Mars got gravity as well. We drive small little robots there. You can also watch videos from satellites orbiting the earth. How can this possible be done if the earth isn't a sphere?

Anyway, the point of my first post was to point out that the original post is plain out wrong. Could you explain to me why we are not floating around, without the use of gravity? What push/pull us toward the ground?

Also a related question. I'm sorry, but this is a little straw-man argument-ish question, but it isn't supposed to be. I've wondered about this for many years. If the bible is to be read literary, as you just stated, why don't you follow it? It stands quite clearly that secular shall be "destroyed". Why the moderation?

Ops, sorry. I might have been a little quick on the trigger in my first post. A balloon does indeed have gravity. All objects have gravity. Even the little dustrgain that is floating around in your living room have gravity. But the mass is so small, that in practices it is zero. A single dustrgrain and even a balloon and a skyskraper have so little mass (relatively) that gravity can't be measured with the technology we possess today.

On the contrary to other forces of nature, gravity has no repelling property, so all mass has a attractive force. So when you summarize the gravity of all skyscrapers, all cars, all people, living matter, all rocks, mountains, oceans, sand, mud, rivers and everything that is bounded by the atmosphere. It is no longer neglectable.

That is because you don't have a 3 dimentional monitor. I'm sure as holographic pictures will start to develop properly, you can watch a live holographic replica of our earth in your living room. How neat would that be btw?

I'm just saying that the bible is pretty cruel some places, but you seem to ignore it. For example that all secular shall be killed, and that adultery is punishable by death and so on and so forth. Why isn't this practiced?
